"Optimization" and "Defragmentation"

A long time user of ASC (Pro) I never paid much attention to the difference between disk "optimization" and disk "defragmentation." Now that I have an SSD drive, however, I must ensure never to defragment it. Accordingly, I need to know if, in choosing the "disk OPTiMIZATION" option in the "Scan" window, this includes defragmentation--or not.

We'd like to mentioned that we designed HDD defragmentation and SSD optimization in ASC. So your SSD will be optimized instead of being defragmented in Disk Optimization.

Quick one here please. Is there a key difference between Optimize and defragmentation? I know a defrag rearrange the file sectors but I'm not really sure what Optimize does.

SSD optimization can wipe those data that are on longer in use on your SSD to boost your SSD for better performance.:-)
