WinRing0_1_2_0

Recommended Posts

Hello :?:

Yesterday GB PRO ß created a new reg.-entry:

warning: Registry entry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinRing0_1_2_0\ImagePath" (created): New entry was set to <\??\C:\Programme\IObit\Game Booster 3\Driver\WinRing0.sys>

Why ...?

TIA

I found this Info about the WinRing0.sys driver file:

WinRing0.sys is a key process in operation system, which is responsible for system services that run from dynamic link libraries (files with extension .dll).

The normal path for .sys drivers is:

c:\windows\system32\drivers\

So they must have wanted to keep everthing under the 'IObit' folder, therefore another Registry entry was needed.
