Adding own program shortcuts to Start Menu 8

How do I add my own program shortcuts to the Start Menu 8 as I was able to do with the Windows 7 Start Menu? For instance, how do I add a shortcut for MS Access to be in the top group? I do not want to have to go drilling down into the "All Programs" folders to find the program.

Please drag and drop the program shortcut to the start menu.

 

Or you can right click the program desktop icon and choose Pin to Start.

Another option for you here by the way is to just "Pin from Task Bar" When you have that program running, right click it at task bar and select "Pin this Program at Taskbar". That could be another option for you.

Right, when the program is running, you can right click it at Taskbar to select "Pin this program to taskbar ".
