Hi Cicely and all,

I have a service "Reimage" to assist keeping Microsoft VIsta clean and running smoothly.

Reimage is NOT an antivirus nor a malware fighter. It is a Microsoft Re-Image service.

Malware Fighter (IMF) found FALSE POSITIVES see logs and info below ...

Working with Reimage Tech Support today in a remote session we ran many tests and followed instructions in this forum and we request to submit the reports to work with IObit to agree Reimage is a clean program.

I find it very sad that it is necessary for users to have to request a response from Iobit. Particularly in light of the fact that it is these very users who give freely of their time and effort

in order to provide Iobit with feedback, which Iobit then use in order to improve their products. If not for the efforts of said users, I daresay, that not only would Iobits products be less effective, but it would also be necessary for Iobit to incur considerably more cost in order to obtain the same feedback/suggestions/bug reports.

I sincerely hope that Iobit reconsiders it's very valuable relationship with it's users and Forum members.

Hi,

We confirm It is not a false positive.

I honestly think the User (Laurie) was better off with no reply than this eventual so called reply. I find it insulting to the user.

Laurie put great time and effort into providing all the information and confirmations to support her claim that it is a false positive.

And in return for her efforts she receives an 8 word statement refuting her claim, and offering no evidence in support of the statement.

Very disappointing.

Hi Laurie,

I'd like to give you the reasons about this detection below:

1. Our engineers analyzed that, after scanning, users cannot fix the issues unless they have to register the software. This is obviously a malicious behavior

2. The scan result also scares the users. As you can see from the screenshot, the applications have not crashed. In fact, they can run properly.

3. As you can see from the Virustotal result, it is also reported by several other anti-virus software as a threat

file:///C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\36E3ADD113C74B59ABAEF03B058ADA73.png

4. We also received most of users' feedback about it. They wish that IObit Malware Fighter can help them remove Reimage as it has malicious behavior

If you want to keep it, please right-click on the items on the scan result, and add it to the Ignore List. Then it will be skipped to scan

Dear Scannan, Enoskype and fuzzler

Thank you for your supportive comments.

Dear Cicely,

Thank you for stepping up to provide a more comprehensive response to my request for IOBit to review REIMAGE as not a threat.

1) For the record, I am a happy customer of IOBit as of installing Advanced Systemcare Ultimate 8 as recommended by Cicely!

2) In recent scans IMF has not found zero issues with my pc. So the Reimage "false positive" matter on my PC seems to somehow been resolved.

3) Now, because IOBit Engineers gave up on Reimage and did NOT do much research >>Our engineers analyzed that, after scanning, users cannot fix the issues unless they have to register the software. This is obviously a malicious behavior<< , and because I have received the best customer service and tech support by Reimage I feel it is my duty to provide clarity in spite of the negative review by IOBit Engineers for the benefit of IOBit users, and all PC users to learn the Truth about Reimage through other's and my personal experience that Reimage is NOT malware.

Reimage History and Results of Service as experienced by Laurie:

Cicely, after more than 1-year of using IObit ASCU 6 & 7 and IMF-free-version last summer 2014 my vista pc started having BLUE SCREEN issues and other suspect behavior that IObit could not detect nor obliviously fix. Typically when I call IObit's customer to ask for tech support all I get is the run-around by some super-sales person and not once did I ever receive help from IOBit Tech Support except to be solicited to buy the tech support service!

Note: In all fairness to IOBit, my experience calling IOBit support is dated, 2013 to early 2014. I have not called IOBit recently to learn if they have changed their method of support nor do I have time to investigate.

I did search IOBit Forum for Blue Screen fix, and found one reference Dated 2012 that was not effective for me for Blue Screen issues. Note there is one recent comment dated Apr.7, 2015 recommending REIMAGE! http://forums.iobit.com/forum/lounge/lounge-aa/14753-fix-blue-screen-of-death-bsod

Searching online I found REIMAGE. Reimage is the only program I could find that claimed to fix BLUE SCREEN issues, and I purchased 1-year license.

WHAT IS REIMAGE?

Reimage is simply a Microsoft Reimaging service. Reimage is NOT an anti-virus nor a malware fighter, but they CARE about their customers and will go above and beyond their area of responsibility to fix problems for a mere $69.95/annual subscription guaranteed!: "Full Money Back Guarantee. If you are not happy with the repair we'll give you your money back. No questions asked."

LEARN MORE HERE:

I learned more from Reimage than I have from any other tech support simply because Reimage is willing to offer more service than they are paid for.

Anyone can learn free info from REIMAGE just by visiting and if you wish LIKE their Facebook page, it includes good content, fun, lighthearted humor https://www.facebook.com/reimagerepair?fref=ts

Here are my results and formal review of the service I received and I am grateful for by REIMAGE

NOTE: If I could give REIMAGE 10-STARS that would not be enough.

>> 4/18/15 MULTIPLE PROBLEMS FIXED. I ended up having several issues includes a TROJAN that my IObit ASCU7 anti-virus and IObit IMF anti-malware did not detect. Several appointments and several engineers that include Luveo and Rex spent hours fixing the problems beyond the 90-min appt slots allocated. All this included in my nominal $69.95/annual subscription?!! Are You Kidding? If not for REIMAGE Support I would have to resolve to go to my local computer hack-repair shop and all they do is wipe the HD and that one service is $60-$200! REIMAGE service is the best! I would not hesitate to advise anyone to use this product. – Laurie Parle <<

If you have a Reimage Account and have a problem your protection programs cannot find or fix this is a SAFE option that may be able to fix your issue: Simply go to this website and click BOOK NOW.

Hope this post helps others.

In closing, I want you all to know that I trust IOBit to do the job they say their products will do.

And I am happy to have found IOBit as I am happy to have Reimage do its job that is NOT competition for any of IOBit's products.

Thank You Cicely and All Forum Members,

Laurie"

:-)Thumbs up|;-)Thumbs up:-)
