Hi friends ;-)

 

At home I defined my Box to filter MAC addresses because I had noticed a third connection in WIFI in spite of the network key.

 

I am sometimes led to be connected to a hotspot WiFi, from the station, a hotel or a rest area on the autoroute... I read an article regarding the sniffing and the confidentiality of data which is threatened.

here in UK

 

a criminal will set up an a bogus wifi point where you would expect a genuine one eg hotel. rail stn so they can hack into you laptop for credicard details or access at a later date.

 

this must happen in other countries too

I mean, a soft or a way to secure my data... It sometimes concern confidencial.

do you have a linksys router?

 

if you do call their 24 hour help line and they will talk you through max wifi security for your router.

Actually my provider is SFR and I connect the Web with an NEUF BOX. So, I havn't any other router... It is Ok for the NEUF BOX Wifi MAC parameters..

 

But I sometimes connect the WEB from a hotspot WiFi, from the station, a hotel or a rest area on the autoroute... This is my ask about...
