  • Does MacBooster Change the File Permissions on The Disk?

When I use Mac's Disk Utility program to do a "Verify Disk Permissions", I found about 7 files' permissions were changed. These are the read/write/execute permissions of Unix file system. For examples, a couple files associated with Safari browser had their permissions changed.

Can someone tell me if MacBooster does such kind of modifications? My 2 week old Mac Pro is having some issues after running MacBooster. I would like to know what MacBooster would do to a Mac.

    Thanks.

    Hi vett93,

    Thanks for your feedback.

Disk Utility lets you verify and repair Mac OS X disks and permissions issues. Thus, you might found that the permissions have been changed after run Disk Utility.

Please refer to http://www.macworld.com/article/1052...rmissions.html and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1452?v...S&locale=en_US to see more details to see why it needs to fix the permissions issues.

By the way, does your Safari has any issue after the change?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
