Where did it go?

Apparently, when you open a protected file it opens at whatever location it was accessed; C, E, F, etc. This means you MUST record where it originated or have to search the entire computer for where it went. Worse yet, it may try to go to an external drive you no longer have. Is there a way to have it just open on the Desktop to be altered and returned?

Hi Rick, maybe I'm not understand you're question correctly but I believe this has been the process so far. You need to know where your files are located.
