Hi draconas,

I am not sure if win7 64-bit Registry is the same as win 7 32-bit.

All my below suggestions are valid for Windows 7 32-bit.

Please do not change anything in the Registry before we are sure of anything.

Open Registry Editor by typing regedit to Run... in Windows Start Menu.

Chek the below entries if any of those Registry Keys exist:

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SmartDefragBootTime\MFTList

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SmartDefragBootTime\PageFileList

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\SmartDefragBootTime\SystemFileList

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\SmartDefragBoot Time\MFTList

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\SmartDefragBoot Time\PageFileList

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\SmartDefragBoot Time\SystemFileList

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SmartDefragBootTime\MFTList

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SmartDefragBootTime\PageFileList

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\SmartDefragBootTime\SystemFileList

Please write me the existing Registry Values for the below ones if they include,

'autocheck autochk * SmartDefragBootTime.exe'

or

'autocheck autochk *'

at the end of them:

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\BootExecute:

HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Session Manager\BootExecute:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\BootExecute:

Cheers.

So, to make sure I understand the problem?

Both the 'time scheduler' and 'bootup scheduler' need to be Disabled Before SD is Uninstalled or a New version is Installed, correct?

So actually they need to be disabled or removed by the Uninstall routine?

Hi Toppack

As far as I see the "problem" I think it is the often mentioned case of not fully closing down the program before running the uninstall.

It is easy to forget to close down the automatic functions one has activated.

This possible problem is also mentioned in Usage of IObit Products :-)

Cheers
