Smart Defrag five shows my hard drive with very little free space left when my drive is less than 15% full. Why?

I wiped the free space and the problem when away. defrag is now showing the correct free space to used ratio. Other than this recent problem following Windows 10 factory update I have used the program for years with no hassles. I think the win update fubared the program. Thanks for the timely response!
