More Start buttons for Start Menu 8

Hello Everybody,

StartMenu8 enables you to choose your own favorite Start Button now.

Here is how:

1. Select three pictures first and rename them as xxx_normal.png, xxx_hover.png, and xxx_click.png. The picture size should be 54*54 for all the three pictures.

Note: “xxx” is the name will be displayed in StartMenu8. So it should be the same for all the three pictures.

2. Copy the renamed and resized three pictures into the folder StartButtonSkin under the program installation folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\StartMenu8 or your own defined installation folder.

3. Right click your current Start Button and select Customize User Interface to open the User Interface settings window.

4. Choose your newly added Start button to change the Start button picture.

Other information:

- xxx_normal.png indicates the picture displayed when you work on other things.
- xxx_hover.png indicates the picture displayed when your mouse hovering the button.
- xxx_click.png indicates the picture displayed when you click on the button.

Designers are also welcomed to show their designs and provide downloads here, and users can comment on the skin designs in this section, but no links for advertisement purposes are allowed.

Where can that new StartMenu8 be downloaded? Is it Beta 2.0?

My existing StartMenu8 folder (StartMenu8 Beta 1.0) does not have StartButtonSkin folder.

Yes. This feature will be enabled in beta 2. Beta 2 will be released soon.

You can find language files in Language files for IObit StartMenu8 thread.

Great buttons! But Why 'Apples' for Windows-8 software?
