I've noticed that Advanced System Care disables a Windows System option named "Write an event to the system log".
That option can be found at: Control Panel - System - Advanced System Properties - Startup and Recovery (definitions). After running Advanced System Care, the box before "Write an event to the system log" stays unchecked. Disabling that option causes volmgr error - event id 46, "Crash dump initialization failed!", visible at Event Viewer, under Windows 7. Sometimes the system randomly crashes/freezes because of volmgr error. So, my question is: Is there a way to make Advanced System Care stop disabling that system option? Thank you. Hi caixamagica,
Let's try this. First, adjust your system options to your liking. Click Scan button after clicking Diagnose System on the main GUI of ASC. When the Scan is done, click on the xxProblems found on the right side of System Optimization. Details: System Optimization window will be opened. On the right pane, there will be items to be optimized. Select the ones concerning Write an event to the system log options. Right click on them, and choose Ignore on the right click menu. Next time, when ASC optimizes, it should not change the setting for this option. Cheers.
