Performance Monitor misreading CPU temperature

Recommended Posts

I updated my free version (V9.3) recently. Ever since, the Performance Monitor is acting strange and possibly misreading the CPU temperature. As often as every 2 seconds it will jump from a reading of 96 to 170+, and then, just as quickly, will revert to 95 or 96. Nothing else seems to be odd (the fan speed, etc.) but there's no heavy load on the system, so this doesn't make any sense to me. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi flourishingpaula,

Welcome to IObit Forum!

Please follow the steps below to help us further look into the issue.

1.Right click on Performance Monitor window to choose Exit to exit Performance Monitor.

2.Right click the desktop shortcut of ASC to choose ‘Open file location’ to open its installation directory. Find the file CPUIDInterface.dll and delete it.

3.Download the new file CPUIDInterface.dll from https://www.dropbox.com/s/pjz3u3ab3crk767/CPUIDInterface.dll?dl=0. And put it into the installation directory opened in step 2.

4.Open Performance Monitor to check whether the temperature is displayed or not.

If the temperature is not displayed, please take a screenshot of Performance Monitor and send the screenshot to us. And send us the file PMDllLog.txt in the installation directory of ASC.

Thanks.

Hi flourishingpaula,

Sorry for the late reply. Please follow the steps below to help us further look into the issue.

1. Download PMDemo.zip from https://www.dropbox.com/s/0oihk08qc56och6/PMDemo_0922.zip?dl=0 -> unzip it to find Test.exe -> run Test.exe -> wait until it finishes -> find the two files dump.txt and demo_log.txt in the same folder of Test.exe, and send them to us.

2. Download HWMonitor from http://download.cpuid.com/betas/HWMonitor_129.zip -> unzip it, run HWMonitor_x32.exe or HWMonitor_x64.exe according to your computer system(e.g., if your system is 32bit, you should run HWMonitor_x32.exe ) -> refer to the picture 1 to click File to choose Save Monitoring data to save the report -> send the saved report to us.

3. Refer to the picture 2 to take a screenshot of your Intel core i7-3770, and send the screenshot to us.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Paulostge,

Please follow the steps below to provide us with the requested file for our further investigation.

Download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe -> Double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click 'Save report'. -> After it finishes, you will get a popup window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click 'OK' button to open that saved folder. -> Send the zipped file to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Thanks in advance.
