Serious issues with false positives in Startup Accelerate

Since recent improvements to the Startup Accelerate function in ASC have been introduced, it now has serious issues with false positives.

I have attached 5 screenshots showing false positives. Also, as you can see from screenshot 6, the description for some scheduled tasks is wrong.

The false positives aren't in ASC Ultimate as it does not have new Startup Accelerate.

Hi roger_m,

Please follow the steps below to check whether the issue is solved or not.

1.Exit ASC completely.

2.Download the new demo from the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/5zq626xb3m..._1232.zip?dl=0

3.Unzip it to run the file ASCFixTool.exe, click the button ‘Fix Error’.

After the fix finishes, please check whether the issue is solved or not.

If it does not solve the issue, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV9.exe. Then double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click "Save report". After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click "OK" button to open that saved folder. Please send the zipped file to us.

Thanks.

Hi Cicely, the false positives are all fixed now. Thanks for the quick assitance.

One issue remains however. The KwRunAsStdUser scheduled task (which is invalid) is described as Kerish Doctor (which is another scheduled task on my system).

Hi roger_m,

Happy to hear it fixed the false positives.

For the remaining issue, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelperV9.exe.

Then double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click "Save report".

After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click "OK" button to open that saved folder.

Please send the zipped file to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Thanks.

Hi roger_m,

For the issue 'The KwRunAsStdUser scheduled task (which is invalid) is described as Kerish Doctor (which is another scheduled task on my system)', we'll fix it in version 10 which is under development.

Cheers!
