Hello everybody :D I think that ASC might be not safe or not safe at all. I have looked in the internet for some proof. I decided to post here after my friends and my sisters computer went down and the reason was ASC. ASC cleaned the registry which is the critical part of the OS. I looked in BleepingComputer and found something http://tinyurl.com/nqsdxza. Also I found something here http://tinyurl.com/p493a43. So is it acctually safe to use ASC ? Because I will stick to CCleaner cause it's free and 100% safe. Is every function safe to use ? Is registry deep clean safe? The deep clean will most likely (85%) delete the system data. And why do you lie ? I think that you lie cause you say that it will REPAIR but acctually it DELETES the data in the registry. This is the 1# thing I found: Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications that can damage the registry by using aggressive cleaning routines and cause your computer to become unbootable. Why IObit? Why would you trick people? I think i'm going to recommend my every friend to uninstall IObit software cause it contains viruses (rookits or adware) based on this thread http://tinyurl.com/p493a43 and it's 100% unsafe based on this thread http://tinyurl.com/nqsdxza. :x Thumbs down

Hi thelaurynas87

Welcome to the Forum.

I must say that I find your post a little confusing. You ask if ASC is safe, but then you make it quite clear that you have already decided that it is not.

You warn against the dangers of Registry Cleaners, and provide a link which advises users not to use them. Then you stress the point that you will stick to CCleaner, which also cleans the Registry.

You accuse Iobit of lying. Yet you do not say what the so called lie is. Iobit supplies software with an explanation of what it will do. Users can decide if they wish to use it or not. Where is the lie??

You seem to have looked at a lot of sites to find negative views. Did you spend any time looking through this Forum for users feedback. If you did you would have seen that we recommend that Deep Clean should only be used by experienced users who fully understand the workings of the registry. You would also see that the vast majority of users have no problems with registry cleaner in normal mode.

You accuse Iobit of tricking people. What trick are you talking about.

You blame ASC for causing your sisters and friends computers to go down. This is really strange that your immediate acquaintances should all have the same issue. Yet millions of users every day happily use ASC without problems.

Another confusing post.

Is what safe??.......you were originally talking about ASC, which is an Optimisation program. Now you have switched to a discussion about Malwarebytes which is an anti-malware program.

You have posted a link to a 2009 article and make a comment based on such an old item. Please clarify your point/question in order to enable us to assist you.

Yes ASC is safe. I have used it for many years wit no issues.
