AMD has officially launched the Ryzen processor for a month, which has attracted much attention since then because of its optimized game performance and other improvements. Besides, AMD also constantly optimizes the Ryzen performance.

Now a new round of Ryzen optimization also comes. Regarding the problem that the default Windows power plan affects Ryzen performance, AMD introduced a customized Windows 10 power plan for Ryzen processor to replace system default one. This customized power plan can better balance performance and energy to create a new balance mode.

So we recommend you enable this power plan.

For how to enable AMD Ryzen Balanced Windows 10 power plan, please follow the steps below:

1. Download Power plan configuration file provided by AMD in the following link: https://community.amd.com/servlet/Ji...Power_Plan.zip

2. Just double click the file after extracting! Windows will ask you to confirm the installation of the Ryzen_Balanced_Plan.ppkg, and accepting the prompt will add it as a new power plan.

3. Right-click the start menu>>select 'Power Options’ then you will see the option “AMD Ryzen™ Balanced” as shown in following picture:

Enable this AMD Ryzen Balanced power plan; the game performance will be very close to the high-performance mode.

For this new balanced model, AMD also gives some official tests, as shown below:

Performance of the AMD Ryzen™ Balanced power plan should be on par with the High Performance plan
