Suggestion for Game Booster. SUPERSHORTCUTS !

if you could make it launch the game too, that'd be great.

i.e. make a screen where you can browse for the exe and then make a shortcut on desktop that will open GB, switch to gaming mode and then launch the exe

Test it

Dear Grue,

I had downloaded GB.exe and tested it for several times but nothing happened and no User Interface appeared. Did I missed something? The Size of GB.exe is 10.5 KB, is that right Grue?

Thank you and best regards to you. Look forward to your reply.

Great job, I will give a link in the USAGE of IOBIT PRODUCTS thread to your download link.

Thanks and cheers.

PS: in Win7, selecting game directory, Browsing gives the error: The ordinal 345 could not be located in the dynamic link library COMCTL32.dll

Ignoring and continueing, it works allright.

That's not what I am talking about. I ran it and Norton 360 found a serious virus and stopped it.

NOT EVERY EXE has a virus.

Cool

Hi Grue,

You did a more than 5 stars job :-D

I have to have a cup of coffee with the GB's coder and I think he should share his salary with you. lol.

Thank you. Tons of thanks and the "super shortcut" function will be added in version 1.51 soon.

Cheers.

Nice app, worked well.

I could run Left 4 Dead 2 directly by pointing to the left4dead2.exe file.

The problem was I lost all of my launch options (remove opening video, force video res, etc).

This will be true for all Steam Games.

I was able to fix that by editing your bat file as follows:

Remove second line:

start /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2" left4dead2.exe

Replace second line with this:

start steam://rungameid/550

(steam use URL's to launch their games).

It would be nice if you could somehow add the ability to launch URL's or Steam games when your app is first launched.

for "select game location" you can just browse to the steam.exe and then add "-applaunch 550" on the end :)

Even greater it be like .... start game booster > automatically goes to gaming mode and load the game chosen by you.So by 1 click on the GB you get on gaming mode+launching your game...

There is a launcher in these forums which allow for 1 click run Game Booster then run your program/game.
