Reseting your PC Help with IObit Softwares

Recommended Posts

So I had to reset my laptop last night and I went ahead and grabbed all my IObit installs and threw them on my external hd thinking maybe I can just drag it back on after the pc resets itself. When I say reset I don't mean factory reset but a system reset, keeping some personal files but reinstalling windows 10 and removing all apps. Anyway I later found that my onedrive was going to bring all my stuff back. Quite frankly I dont want it all so I thought "It'lll be faster to just drop my IObit folder onto the desktop instead of waiting hours for all that stuff to download to my pc" well it works but its not picking up my registration. I would think since its the same pc I registered with it wouldn't have been a problem.

My Question: Am I going to have to contact the "switching registrations to a new pc" option on the IObit support tab? or is there something else that might be a little quicker. To be honest I've had my fair share of support interactions over the past 3 or 4 weeks, nothing against IObits support. I'd just rather do it myself if I can.

Thanks for any answers and ya'll stay safe out there!

*Edit: I own the pro versions of AntiMalware, Advance System Care 13, Driver Booster, Uninstall, & Smart Defrag

I've only tried it with Advance System Care 13 but I'm assuming the others arn't going to recognize my registrations either.

RE-Edit turns out you can use your activation codes, that is if you saved them in your emails.

Will leave up for anyone else unless told otherwise.

Why not simply re-enter your licences

yeah, that's why I put at the bottom:

Hi VVitchface,

Welcome to our forum.

Well, there should be many situations (including formatting, reinstalling, upgrading your computer, or replacing HD, Motherboard, CPU, etc.,) that our program will recognize your PC as a new one and then needs you to activate the Pro versions again. If you lost your license code, please do not worry. In your description, you reset your OS that is why you need to register again. You can always get re-install help directly from https://www.iobit.com/en/reinstallproduct.php

If you have other issues, please feel free to tell us.

Have a great day.

Safe Mode is a special mode that can help users troubleshoot system issues especially when the problems already occurred on the computer. It allows Windows to boot only with essential system programs and services.

Step 1: Boot into Safe Mode

> Open Start Menu in the left bottom and click the “Power icon, then hold the “Shift key down while you select “Restart “.

> Then you’ll come to “Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart

> After your PC restarts, press F4 or F5 when you see this screen to start your PC in Safe Mode.

Step 2 Uninstall Windows updates from Programs and Features

> Press Windows key + X key to open Quick Access Menu and then select "Control Panel".

> Click on "Programs" and then click on "View installed updates".

> Then you can select the problematic update and click the Uninstall button.
