    Hi All,

IObit released IObit MBR Guard Beta with the information below:

    What is MBR
A master boot record (MBR) is a special type of boot sector at the very beginning of partitioned computer mass storage devices like fixed disks or removable drives intended for use with IBM PC-compatible systems and beyond.

    Why you need MBR Guard
Once MBR is attacked, the malicious software will take over your disk and perform malicious actions like encrypting your data and asking for ransom. IObit MBR Guard is designed to protect against the malicious attacks targeting MBR, like GoldenEye/Petya attacks.

To get full protection against various malware including virus, trojan, ransomware, spyware, and adware in real-time, please try IObit Malware Fighter.

Please see THIS IObit web page

    Cheers.

Does it make sense in a separate product?

        Hi Black Raven,

Yes, it makes sense as IObit MBR Guard beta is free and can be used with IMF Free.

        Cheers.
