In IOBit Toolbox; Under Repair/WinFix,

Do not find a way of fixing items missing from the open with.

Is there any way to fix items missing from the open with?

 

 

Have another questions also;

I don't know what happened or where it went,

but my add/remove programs is missing from

my control panel.

Any ideas on how I get it back again?

To select which program you want to use:

• Right click on the item you want to open

• Select Open With

• Click on Choose Program If the program is not listed, click on Browse and find the program

• Select the program you want to use to open the file. This program will now appear in the Open With list.

• If you want to make that selection permanent then Tick Always use the selected program to open this kind of file

• Click Ok

Hi Brian

First question - yes - take a look in Control panel/folder options

wozofoz explained it though.

Second question - a checkdsk /r should be tried, perhaps also a sfc /scannow

Are you sure it isn't just located in another place in the controlpanel?
