A game trainer is a program designed to intercept and inject hex code into a running game, the nature of these often get flagged by more sensitive virus scans as a "generic" trojan. Totally harmless though except to maybe the "purity" of a gamer.

As a gamer myself i feel the same way if I were you so my suggestion is try to add the virus as part of the exclusions if the file has been scanned. But it is not recommended. As far of my experience all of the trainer software are not safe because they are using it for key-logging purposes. But the thing is that if you manage to add it as an exclusion , it will create an automatic report on our end and Iobit will automatically investigate the scanned file so we can detect if the file is a virus or not so they can change it for future updates.

      Hi Takun,

      Welcome to our forum.

After checking, it is found that there are 36 programs in Virustotal threat the game Dragon Ball Xenoverse as malicious.

After analysis, the game you mentioned may access some key files. So it is not a false positive. If you are sure it is safe and want to play it, you can add it manually into whitelist as iotop suggested.

@ iotop, thanks for your warmhearted reply.

I love to play shooter games but not very good at it so when i can, i find console commands or use -devmode and when that fails, i find a trainer for the game. This go around, for the game alan wake american nightmare, the trainers i've found are flagged by MB.

I did the same thing, I added the that game to Whitelist as I knew that it was not going to cause any trouble to my system. I knew the game was safe.

Why do you want to add a game to ASC. The users in this Topic are talking about adding agame trainer to their Anti-virus program whitelist.
ASC is not an anti-virus program
To err is Human. To really mess things up you need a PC.

                Hi budwiser27,

                Sorry for my late reply.
As Scannan said why you want to add a game to ASC? Do you meet any issues for the game when you have ASC?

If you have any issues, please tell us with more details.
Scannan, thanks for your timely reply.
