It has done nothing but mine and I know this is a false positive. Norton repeatedly blocked it until finally letting it through.

    Hi skaczynski11?

    Sorry for my late reply.

After analysis, it is not false positive. The program you mentioned will lead to 100% CPU. It is treated as malicious.

It is suggested to remove it.

    Thanks for your feedback.

It is supposed to use 100% CPU. It is a cryptocurrency miner. Cryptocurrency mining uses the GPU and CPU's combined power to decrypt complicated math problems. Please go to the page https://www.nicehash.com/ to see that it is a miner and https://www.economist.com/blogs/econ...st-explains-11 to become more familiar with this type of stuff. I assure you this is a false positive.

If you want to use it, you can add it into White List.

I am thinking about start crypto mining and your info may give some confidence here. I am new to cryptocurrency and I am gladly visiting thematic topic to enrich my knowledge. In general, I had an opinion, that to operate BTC online you need to pay close attention to transactions security and use (Spam link removed. If this occurs again User will be Banned) to guarantee your account security from brute force, especially if you are prone to use exchangers or pay with BTC for any high-risk operations.

Application.BitCoinMiner Trojan will use more than 70% of your CPU’s power and graphics cards power. What this means, is that when the miners are running you will find that your computer is running slower and games are stuttering or freezing because the Application.BitCoinMiner is using your computer’s resources to generate revenue for themselves. This will cause your CPU to run at very hot temperatures for extended periods of time, which could shorten the life of the CPU.

CPU and graphics cards driver see here (Spam link removed. If this occurs again User will be Banned) usage Windows minimize and maximize slowly, and programs run slower.
