Iobit Malware Fighter 5.3 White List Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi Nikolas Kanelakis,

Welcome to our forum.

Please describe the issue more clearly with related screenshots.

Guide for taking screen shots can be found on: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

Please also download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe.

Double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click 'Save report'.

After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click 'OK' button to open that saved folder.

Send the zipped file to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi, the program does not point to any errors, but when I insert items in the white list or excluded from scanning, after a while the program deletes them from the list.

And when it does the automatic scan reveals them.

Then I'm forced to insert them again.

And one thing that does the program automatically, I think it's a program bug for the white list.

Hi Nikolas Kanelakis,

Sorry for my late reply.

First, please update to the latest IMF v5.4 from http://update.iobit.com/dl/IObit-Malware-Fighter-Setup.exe

If the whitelist issue repeats, please send us the related screenshots to show the item you added in whitelist. And what did you do before it disappears?

Please also download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe.

Double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click 'Save report'.

After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click 'OK' button to open that saved folder.

Send the zipped file to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sorry that I missed your issue.

How is everything now? Have you tried the latest IMF v6?

I have put those files in the whitelist individually and also put the containing folder in the whitelist, yet it continues to find the files. My computer is turned off every night so a reboot takes places prior to the scan and for some reason the files and folder are being deleted from the whitelist. It is really not that big a deal but I am the computer networking business and my company writes software so when something like this is going on I like to figure out the problem. Read More

Hi, with this version, and with the other previous ones I noticed this problem, the program does not save the files I add to the ignored list, takes them away after a while, and I have to uninstall app them again, what could be the problem?

I am having same problem. Any proper solution ?
