Iobit malware fighter with malware bytes

There seems to be imcompatibility.

It seems not likely to havethe 2 actively protecting.

Using paid version malwarebytes pro on xp pro 32 bit

free version of malware fighter.

Do you have more than one malware program running automatically on your computer?

Please try only to let one program at the time run automatically.

Cleaning the Augean stables by leading two rivers through them from perhaps opposite sides can easily defeat the purpose in my opinion. :-)

Thanks for the reply - yes I have malwarebytes (paid version) running as active

protection

Then I installed malwarefighter - but it won't run as active with malwarebytes.

I seem to be only able to use it for scanning , not active protection.

Ok, but if you want to try IMF you should temporarily shut down malwarebytes while you use IMF, as you probably discerned from my comment. :-)

Thanks for reply - you are right of course - running the 2 as acively protecting would be too much to ask for - BUT - wouldn't it be nice if you could do it ?? I trust malwarebytes more for active protection - I paid for it - and I have seen it block numerous intrusions !

Right! :-)

I think it not too cumbersome to close down one while trying out the other, but it is of course your own decision.

Two different programs have of course different parameters, - so to set them to run at the same time will be to take a chance - that I would not be prepared to take.

malware fighter - BEWARE

 

I tried to run malware fighter scan on a dell xps 400 running XP media center editon 32 bit

WOW - IT DESTROYED XP FILES - then asked for installation of XP disk( which I didn't have available) - THEN WINDOWS WOULD NOT BOOT UP NORMALLY ! - only to log in screen - not past it.

I tried: safe mode to do system restore - would not boot to safe mode

running various boot up disks - zero result

cleaning registry manually with recovery mode on xp disk - 0

using original xp disk in recovery mode to fixmbr, fixboot, chkdsk, etc

all would not work to get it to boot up.

FINALLY - I JUST REPLACED THE HDD WITH A CLONED ONE I HAD !

THIS PROGRAM IS FAULTY !!! BEware !!

A SCANNER PROGRAM LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT REMOVE XP FILES - ASKING FOR INSTALLATION OR XP DISK TO REPLACE THEM !!

I have removed malware fighter from ALL COMPUTERS AND GOOD RIDDANCE !

MY ADVICE - CLONE YOUR HARD DISK AND HAVE A BACKUP AVAILABLE !!!

Please describe everything you did to achive this.

Did you read the manual or alternatively Usage of IObit Products prior to trying the program??

I have never had a problem on my computers between SAS and IMF both running in real-time.8:)
