Auto update always says I have the latest version!

Recommended Posts

Hi Nigel

What are your settings?

You have been a member here for almost 5 years so I am assuming that we are talking about IMF :-)

Do you have the recommended (automatic) setting here?

http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10523&stc=1&d=1349158426

and here? Recommended (automatic)

http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10524&stc=1&d=1349158563

If so I think the reason is that every time you check for updates it has already been done automatically.

Do you in the setting "Tips" have the setting that it will show you when the update is performed (finished)

Cheers

When the auto update prompt appears and I select Update. the message afterwards always says that I already have the latest update!

Is it not updating or is this an incorrect prompt?

Thanks

Nigel

Many thanks for the quick reply.

Yes I have all those settings.

But let me repeat that I get the prompt to update or not and if I choose to do the update and then it tells me I already have the update.

I am not selecting to update manually, it is the program prompting me to do so. But it seems it has already done so itself.

Thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel

I suspect enoskype meant screenshots of the rest of your settings :-)

You can also compare our settings in config.ini which can be found here:

My guess is that you should try not to use the automatic update but rather the update when opening the program - and have all security settings chosen.

Do you use High protection or the recommended protection that I use?

Cheers

The database shows as 1171(2012-10-02) and Fingerprint 438614

As for a screenshot I will have to wait for the next auto-update prompt to show.
