    IObit Malware Fighter IObit Updater doesn't update, just says "Retrieving update information, please wait..." and does this for a long time before I cancel.

    Hi jerryjjansen,

    Please update IMF 1.7 by following the instructions downloading latest offline database version 1222 from THIS post. The instructions are at first post in the same thread.

    Try updating online later for future updates.

      Still No Automatic Update

      I have had to manually update several times now and it still will not update automatically. The auto update was the main reason I purchased the pro version!

        Hi Jerry, would you please do the following
        click on Orb, (search), type imf, click on imfini, and use the snipping tool to attach a copy you should get something like this..

              Hi jerryjjansen,

              It will be helpful to us if you can indicate which IMF you are using in your Public Profile which can be edited in User Control Panel.
              User Control Panel can be reached by the link User CP at the top left of the Forum page.

              For IMF v2, what Roy has meant to be posted is:

              The content of config.ini file @:
              C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\IObit\IObit Malware Fighter
              (config.ini file can be opened with a text editor.)

              The Orb is supposed to be the Windows Start Button at the bottom left corner of the Windows Desktop.:wink:

                  It shows that you are using version 1.7
                  The config ini file show much the same as mine but you have:
                  "
                  SystemBlocked=1
                  "
                  this line is different from mine which shows
                  SystemBlocked=0

                  Can you find out what setting you have there?
