IObit Security 360 Update Dialog Box

Hi:

 

I have the FREE version of IObit Security 360 installed on my laptop.

I keep getting a pop-up dialog box asking me if I want to "Update".

If I select "Yes", I get a warning message from Windows Vista stating

that there will be a problem since IObit is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8, which is currentlyt installed on my laptop.

So, I cancel the install process. The next time I get the "Update" dialog box, I choose "No", and it goes away. But every time I restart the computer,

I keep getting "bugged" by the diaolog box asking me to "Update".

 

How do I stop the "Update" dialog box from pestering me ?

Which version of IS360 are you using?

 

The most recent one is IS360 1.61 and downloadable from HERE.

 

Also, a Clean Install is advisable.

IOBit Security 360 Dialog Box keeps bugging me

 

Hi:

The upgrade installed version 1.60 on my laptop.

The question is...

How do I stop being pestered by the dialog box popping-up when an upgrade is available ?

Windows tells me not to upgrade...there is a compatibility problem.

If I don't upgrade, the dialog box continues to pop-up every time I start the computer. I don't want this.

I have the same issuse with Advanced SystemCare.

How do I stop the dialog box from popping-up when an update is available ?

Hi DaleB, did you read my previous post?

 

Update to version IS360 1.61 following the given link in my previous post.

 

There is no way that your Vista is telling you that updating IS360 is not compatible.

 

If you want to stop those pop-ups, update your IS360 and ASC.

 

There are 2 other ways to stop that pop-up, 1) Don't give permission to the program to reach the internet by firewall or 2) Uninstall the programs.

 

I will not suggest not to update to anybody unless the update is very buggy.

I have the same issue with Dale and no offense but your post did not resolve the issue. I have updated 10 times to no avail. any other ideas?

IObit Malware Fighter

IObit Security 360 has not been supported for a long, long time, it was replaced by IObit Malware Fighter.

You will need to uninstall IObit Security 360 and then install IObit Malware Fighter
