Firewall Problem.

Recommended Posts

Aloha, I just downloaded Free advance system care ultimate and im pleased to say that I like this system. So I downloaded the Free defrag 2 and shortly after downloaded the Game Booster. Now I play league of legends and Dota. I know that when I downloaded the advance system ultimate it had a fire wall. See I have windows firewall too. But I disabled both firewalls. And when I try to start up my game is says my firewall wont allow me to proceed. I tried changing out both firewalls to see if they contradict each other but with the same results. It was only when I downloaded the game Booster that it didn't allow me to continue my game. Now I have uninstalled the game Booster and still no results.

Hi

Please clarify the sequence of events. After you installed ASCU, did your game work ok. After you installed SD did your game work ok. Did the problem only occur after you installed GB.

Maybe you installed all three programs at the same time and did not try your game until after they were all installed.

The more detail you give us, the easier it is for us to assist you.

Did you try restoring your system to a time before the issue occurred. You can do this in the ASCU Rescue Centre.

EDIT: The problem may lie in the Exceptions area of your Windows Firewall and Advanced Security...have a look at this link.

Well when I installed advance system care and defrag 2 I could still play my games. (The gaming experience was great) But is was not until I installed the game booster, that when my map was downloading it stopped and told me that my firewall is preventing the map from loading. I did a check and turned off my fire wall thinking it was a simple problem but to no avail. So I customized it to allow my specific games past the firewall with still no success. So I ended up uninstalling the game booster thinking its set up had changed the settings. But nothing changed it still wont allow me to play any games.

I had a feeling it would be GB that caused the problem. Uninstalling itmay not have been completely successful. There may be fragments left.

These are the details for a clean uninstall:

If you want to do a Clean Uninstall & Install

See This Post for details.

Screenshots are in This Post

Also even though you uninstalled GB the settings may have been change and remain changed. Restoring the system to a time before GB ws installed should correct the problem.

Hi hea808... welcome here!

I dobt understand i did the restore up to the GB and the game worked for one full day. But when i tried to get on again it did the same thing to me. Saying my firewall stopped me from loading the map.:?

I think Scannan was saying to use restore to just past GB... not up to.

Exactly what is this firewall message? Word for word and where does it come from, (what software?) Can you post a screenshot of the firewall message please??;-)

Sincerely,

-Mel

I restored it right before I downloaded the GB. For almost a full day it allowed me to play games. Until later in the day. This is what is says as it disconnected me from downloading my game map. "unable to connect to server if you have a firewall it may be blocking your connection please refer to your firewalls documentation" -windows

Im thinking the ASCU (advance system care ultimate) made changes to my connection without my knowledge? Or maybe my windows firewall changed something to adapt to ASCU? I think there's something I can send you. Its from ASCU. It shows all the problems for my connection that I dont understand. So ill find it copy n paste it here. Is there anything else I can do?

P.S if this problem is resolved all of you will receive a free tour of native Hawaiian sites, carvings, glyphs and ancient medicinal Hawaiian plants of Halawa valley located in Oahu. Also free surfing lessons at Waikiki and a list of secret hiking spots to waterfalls and beaches. (the ones tourist dont get to see)

Hi hea808

I had a look at this League of Legends and it appears that it is quite a buggy program. It appears that many antivirus programs see it as a threat once itis opened.

Did you put it into exceptions in your firewall so that it is not blocked.

I order to see if ASC isindeed creating the issue, please disable auto clean and auto care in ASC.

Restore your system again to where the game works correctly. Do not run any scans or repairs with ASC. See if the problem occurs again.

EDIT: Also disable Active Optimise

Hi hea808,

After Scannan's advice, and you decide to keep ASCU, please update your ASCU from the link in Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 6 (6.0.8.289) is released! thread.

Check when McAfee is scheduled for virus scan. Since you have ASCU, you already have real-time virus protection, so turn the real-time protection of ASCU off when McAfee is scanning for viruses. (Probably McAfee came with the PC as a promotion. Not advisable to have more than 1 antivirus software in a PC.)

Also, you can chose to put League of Legends to White list of ASCU if you wish.

In your services many coments as below:

"[C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalSystemNetworkRestricted]"

or

"[C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceNetworkRestricted]"

is a sign that you have a restriction in thr network, so make sure that all restrictions are taken out in your firewall and system for network conection.

Cheers.
