(Security Tip) !

Detect Malware

Monitor your computer for unusual behavior. Your computer may be infected with malware if it:

slows down, crashes, or displays repeated error messages

won't shut down or restart

serves up a barrage of pop-ups

displays web pages you didn't intend to visit, or sends emails you didn't write

Other warning signs of malware include:

new and unexpected toolbars

new and unexpected icons in your shortcuts or on your desktop

a sudden or repeated change in your computer's internet home page

a laptop battery that drains more quickly than it should

cheers

This is kind of another useless and unsubstantiated post.

It would be more helpful if you look at the individual posts by members here and help them. (individually Martino);-) (That is what a volunteer user help forum is about)

By the way Martino... why havn't you posted your dissertation on the google Chrome thread that you promised a month ago? I and others have been awaiting it!!

You should be more careful in your general advisements as many of the symptoms you describe as being associated with malware are also associated with hardware and software issues unassociated with malware! Thus your post is not helpful at all and should be disregarded as it doesn't address a specific problem.

Sincerely,

-Mel

Live long and prosper!
