Disabling plugin-container.exe in Firefox

 

1.Open Firefox and type about:config and click I’ll be careful , I promise

 

2.Now search for ipc in Filter box .

3.Double click on each of five entries to set their values to false as shown above.

I remove the annoying Thumbnail option in fire fox as well.

1.Open Firefox and type about:config and click I’ll be careful , I promise.

 

2.Now Search for browser.newtab.url in the Filter box.

 

3.Now Double click and replace about:newtab with about:blank.

 

4.Now restart firefox.And there you go no more Thumbnails.

This is way i rarely have an issue.This system of mine has been tested.Oh and for this to work you might need to use fire fox 23 any thing newer and i can not count on any of the fire fox add-on's working.This will help with them annoying pop ups and that fbi moneypak that is running around on the internet.

 

First time i got that fbi moneypak on my fire fox is when i did not have these settings in place.

You really don't need all of these on system only really need some thing like AVG or malwarebyts,You should only use two at the most like malwarebytes as your main scanner and AVG as a secondary.

 

Speccy is good for telling you on what info is needed about your system.And it can tell you more then you know your self like temp's on system.

I have run test scans on both sites for each item.They are clean File hippo is a great site for finding older version if needed.Just click on the older version tab on the right side of box.

I am not sure about that i have used ESS be for and did not like it.And majorgeeks does not recommend it on cleaning system.In all honesty i think that it find's less then malwarebytes.

 

But you can use what ever you like,but in them two postes that i put up i have it setup too the point where i hardly ever get any thing even if i do the malwarebytes will block it like it did to the new ASC 7.

Indeed, cleaning at ESET is the weak point. The advantage is that Eset has no false positives detected.

I have tested Eset along with Malwarebytes and then separated. Eset provided a real-time protection much better than Malwarebytes Pro.

Yes,I tested some time ago what happens on my computer if only is installed Malwarebytes and after a month or two I checked my computer with Hitman Pro and have found six types of malware (trojan, adware, virus).

I installed ESET, after almost a year I scanned my computer with Hitman Pro and computer is clean.

I have done some testing with firefox version 26 the ad blockers i put up in my first post work for 26 but will not work for beta 27 so if you feel the need to upgrade for firefox 26 go right a head.

All users configurations are different... along with usage patterns concerning connectivity. So what is good for one is not good for another... Users must educate themselves about protection. There is much good information on this forum available... and many opinions also. You have to weed through it to find the flowers!

This is way i have stuck with this setup mainly due to the fact i rarely have an issue.Most of the stuff i get is fake.And yes i do understand every computer setup is different.

 

I do agree with you So what is good for one is not good for another... Users must educate themselves about protection. i have learned that a long time ago with 17 years behind computers.
