12 Hours To Defrag' Is This Normal?

I recently had to restore my PC and so I decided to use the Pro version of Smart defrag so that I could have Auto defrag once I'd set it all up. I downloaded all my files from the Cloud, I admit a large amount, 435Gb and left defrag & optimize running overnight. This took about 12 hours to complete. When it had finished I ran Analyze to see what the result would be. It told me that there was a further 886.43 Mb that was fragmented. I thought, what the hell run the defrag again to clear this out.

 

It's been at it now for 2 hours and is 73% of the way through!

 

Is it normal for a long defrag like I ran to leave items still fragmented?

 

Is it normal for the defrag of 886.43 Mb to take so long when 435Gb took 12 hours?

 

Some insight would be most welcome.

Did it stopped at 73%? May I know which method of defrag you choosed? Could you please try Fast Defrag to see if any issue?

 

If it still stuck when defrag, please help us to look into the issue.

NO it doesn't get stuck anywhere, it just seems to take a very long time to defrag less than 1Gb compared to defragging 435Gb.

 

I chose defrag and optimize for both occasions, the 1Gb and the 435Gb.

 

The program works OK, my query is about how long it takes to defrag small fragmented amounts, i.e. >1Gb
