Hi Edward27821,

Norton has replied that they have removed the false positive.

Please ensure that you are using the latest definition files available on Norton website: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/defs.download.html

If the issue still continues with the latest definition files, please kindly let us know.

Thank you so much.

Seems to be OK now, but Norton still reports a bad or lack of reputation

Surely at this stage, logic would tell you that the only reputation which should be questioned, is in fact Norton's. They are the ones who created a false positive, and were able to fix it through the assistance of Iobit. They in fact had to admit that their software got it wrong.

Good point.

1. However, I would think that a temporary false positive until a specific exception is placed in definitions is better than delaying definitions.

2. Bad (or lack of) reputation is just that the file is not yet aged and/or not used by a multitude of Norton customers.

With the work of IObit's excellent team communicating with Norton, the issue lasted "no-time".
