  1. Snuffy Defrag is just that.....it defragments files. It does not clean. Maybe you should explain what you mean by cleaning??
  2. Then it would appear that this is yet another bug affecting ASC when used with Windows 8. You could try de-selecting all files in Clone Scanner.....run a scan. Do not delete anything. Close ASC completely. Restart ASC and select a single file type other than image files. Run a scan. If it finds the selected filetype, close ASC again, restart it and select all the filetypes. Run scan and see if it works.
  3. Hi MDIrwin Welcome to the forum. Maybe there are only cloned image files. Have you checked to see if there are other file types which are cloned and do not appear in the cloned file scanner. You can use the search facility to do this.
  4. Hi Jimarox Welcome to the Forum. If what you are saying is in fact the case, then I understand why you are upset. However, posting negative comments about the very product for which you are chasing your licence, is hardly the way to encourage assistance. You could have saved yourself a lot of grief, by reading through the Forum, where you would have found immediate assistance and solution to your problem. If you send a PM (Private Message) to Cicely , who is the Iobit liaison for the Forum, I am confident that she will resolve your issue immediately.
  5. Hi elpeacen Welcome to the Forum. How are you so sure that it was an Iobit support person. Your situation sounds exactly like the warning in the OP (opening post), which would suggest it is a scam and not connected to Iobit.
  6. Hi Cicely It is Kristine who has the issue, not Sauberlime, who tends to confuse issues by making pointless comments. I have also already provided Kristine with the same DNS information in post #7.
  7. Kristine Also have a look at this post as it may help.
  8. Without system restore, the only thing I can think to try is to either restore your browser to default settings or to install a different browser. This will enable you to import your bookmarks from your existing browser. You can then uninstall your existing browser and reinstall it from new. This should restore your internet connection. You can then import your bookmarks etc from the other browser and uninstall it if you wish.
  9. I will never understand why anyone would turn off their system restore, given that it is the most valuable item on any pc. Did you try the Restore from the ASC rescue Centre or the Windows Restore.?? As you do not state which version of ASC you are using either in your post or your profile, I will have to assume it is ASC8. In the Rescue Centre you have an option to Rescue Internet Boost. This should roll back any changes made to your internet settings. Please try this.
  10. Hi Kristine Welcome to the forum. Please do a system restore to a time before you performed the scans. (You can do a restore using the Rescue Centre in ASC.) Let us know if this restores your internet.
  11. Sorry but I never heard of anythingthat defrags a RAM. May I ask on how you were able to come up with that conclusion? Sauberlime Please read posts fully before you comment. The OP has stated that the word Defrag was used in error by Iobit, and the term "Free up Ram" is what is meant.
  12. I sincerely hope that Iobit do not follow these suggestions. At present users have the flexibility to choose exactly which programs they would like to use/download. Loading everything into ASC would simply make ASC incredibly bloated which is unnecessary and counter productive.
  13. You can do a system restore using the command prompt to restore your system to a time before the issues occurred. See Here for info on how to do this.
  14. Hi Enoskype Yes, that is a problem. Unfortunately the Table functions on this version are very weak as well. I tried importing an Excel spreadsheet but to no avail. I made the table more to give Cicely an idea as to an easier/more efficient way of doing the updates, instead of having to do an individual post each time there is an addition. Maybe she can get her Technicians or vBulletin to come up with something. It would be easier for users also as they would not have to trawl through endless posts to find something.
  15. Cicely This is a Table of items posted in this Topic so far. I thought it may be easier to simply edit the table each day and add any new malware items, rather than to have to create a new post each time. If you do not like it I can remove it.

  17. Hi Zzedee, Thanks for your feedback. To look into the issue, please take the steps as follows: 1) Which defrag methods did you choose? 2) Please let us know the free space of your disk before and after defrag. 3) If the free space decreased after defrag, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/SD4InfoHelper.exe Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop. Please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into. Looking forward to hearing from you. Cicely Please see Post#265 which I moved here from another topic by the userZzedeef which contains the info.
  18. Cicely Dedwen is saying that he had crrashes with the older versions, but the Beta 2 is working fine and he does not have the crashes anymore.
  19. Hi Phil Welcome to the forum. Thank you for such an informative post. I must agree that it would certainly seem that SD B2 did delete ASC. This issue has come up before and it would seem it has not been addressed. As to support from Iobit, I must sadly say that there has been some issues regarding email/phone support, but Iobit assured thea this would be addressed. It seems it has not been addressed yet. At the moment it is Chinese New Year so Iobit support on the Forum is not available. I must admit that I personally find this unacceptable, as it is a company marketing a product on an international market, and as such should have 365 support. Hopefully your post will encourage them to address your issues and improve their support. I do not think ordinary members of the forum are in a position to assist you with your issue as is, as it seems to be an issue that requires software modification. I hope you will continue to use the products and continue to post in the forum.
  20. I think you need to change your meds and get a decent Internet Service Provider. The link you provided makes it quite clear it is not an issue with IMF but with your ISP. Pity you did not read your own link at the beginning as it would have spared us all this unnecessary effort.
  21. Why would you run ASC without an internet connection.??. Are you trying to fix your problem or are you trying to find fault with products. ASC result was correct. It accessed your internal modem successfully...Test OK...it could not connect to the net (because it was not connected)....accessing server Failed.
  22. Firstly, you should ensure you expand your restore points to avoid this in future. You should have at least 2 weeks history. Download and install ASC and run the Internet Booster function to see if this restores your internet connection.
  23. Uninstall IMF and do a system restore back to a time before the issue occurred to see if your internet is then working.
  24. Hi bqvyrlhv Welcome to the Forum. a.puerta 16 was not banned for mentioning another driver program, but for her comments regarding another user and her confrontational attitude in general. If you look at the list of sub-forums you will see that we have a forum for Other Software where users can comment on other software programs. We also have a general discussion forum. a.puerta 16 was given every opportunity to alter her attitude but sadly declined to do so. Banning is used reluctantly and as a very last resort on this Forum.
