I have used previous versions of IMF, on different computers and didn't have this issue.  However, I'm not sure the last version I used, other than this one, where I took note of CPU usage, as it's been quite some time, since I used IMF as my antivirus on the main computer I use.

Open your Task manager and then run a scan in IMF.

See if IMF is responsible for all the increased CPU usage or if other processes are using CPU, due to the scan.

IMF may be causing other processes to activate.

  2. Undelete should find it even if it has been deleted from the trash bin (recycle bin).

Are you sure you know the name of the video.

The only other reason you may not be able to undelete it, is if it has already been overwritten. That will depend on how much

writing to disk you have done since you deleted the file, and how much free space you have on your disc.

If it is a very important file then you could try specialised software such as MiniTool Power Data Recovery.

  3. Do you know which drivers you updated. If not, then it is going to be very difficult to resolve the issue

as you have uninstalled DB and so you have no logs or history.

See if you have a restore point (in system restore) for a time before you updated the drivere. If so, use it to

restore your system to that time. This will undo any driver updates.

I just did that and CPU is still way too high, over 60% to over 70%.  It should be less than that on medium priority.

Is it high for the entire time it is scanning, or just at the beginning. It is quite normal for a scan to use maximum cpu when it begins and then it drops right

    down as the scan progresses.

  5. Well, if you take that attitude with your bank....I wish you good luck.

I tried to help you....I am a volunteer....I don't get paid for this.

Also, there are lot's of posts in the Forum dealing with this sort of issue, if you had bothered to look.

It is usually suggested to send a private message to Cicely....the Iobit team member on the forum.

Additionally....you may be the victim of a scam....so the bank/police is maybe a good option.

i had to install in safe mode, however it'll run in safe mode but not normal mode,  installer wont work in normal mode pls help

First, you should have started a New Topic, and not added your issue to an old Topic.

Second, writing in Bold to make your point is not allowed in the Forum, and should not be repeated.

There are loads of posts/topics in the forum which would help you with this issue.

If it works in safe mode but not in normal mode, then that means that one of your programs is stopping it.

You should get notifications as to which program is blocking it. If you are not then you need to look at your settings in Windows Notifications.

Most likely your Antivirus/antimalware programs (including Windows Defender) or Controlled Folder Access.

Temporarily disable your Antivirus/antimalware programs and see if it will install and run in normal mode.

If it does then you should whitelist ( or add to ignore list) ASC in your Antivirus/antimalware programs.

Also you may have to Allow it in Windows controlled Folder Access.
