  1. I do not know what you mean by "DR"...whether you mean driver or driver booster.

If you have removed and reloaded driver booster, then you have lost the data, so you cannot unignore it now.

But it does not matter as everything will be back to previous state and the driver will be scanned again.

However, go to settings/ignore...and you will see if the driver is in the ignore list, if so you can un-ignore it.

I also recommend that you read the product manual for Driver Booster so you will know all the functions.

I was really annoyed today when I had an email saying i had been charged over £72 for automatic renewal of some of the apps, I had previously reported that ALL automatic renewals were to be cancelled, Some I have never bought I might add.  In fairness when I contacted the support team they said they had refunded the money I hope to see the returned funds in my account in a couple of days.

There are a number of apps I miss but not sure which update they disappeared.  One was the automatic cleaning reminder I think it was every couple of days.

My grandson who has  one of my licences complains that whilst he is working he often gets interruptions advertising another of your apps apparently this then freezes what he is doing and he has to reset his machine.  He is NOT happy about this as he streams a lot or plays intensive games with others online.

Enough of my moans for now but I much preferred the older versions of ACS

Go into settings in ASC and check your Autocare and or Autoclean settings.

    For your Grandson's issue.....go here....C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\Advanced SystemCare\Update

    and delete the file.....Freeware.ini

  3. Yes. You just have to ensure that...."Minimise to system tray when program is closed"......is NOT selected

......Load Automatically at Windows startup.........is NOT selected.

    Do NOT enable Auto defrag.........

Then the program will only run at your command.....and will not continue to run in the background, once you close it.

  4. I find that very hard to understand.

I just opened SD settings and right there in the first item that is visible (General Settings) are the options to do exactly what you require.

Don't know why you searched in windows settings. I never mentioned them.

    Gracias!

Scannan, I thought ASC also had an aspect of anti-virus, seems I guessed wrong!

I want to follow your advise and get a second anti-malware/anti-virus, which do you recommend for my Dell Inspirion Win10 Laptop?

    Thanks!

    Laurie 🙂

ASC Ultimate has a complete Anti-virus.....that is why when posting it is important to be specific as to whether your post is addressing

an issue in ASC Ultimate or ASC.....even though you posted in The ASC Ultimate section, you referred to ASC....

I sent you a message...check your message box...

  6. You give very little information, which makes it hard to assist.

Saying "they all fail" without saying if there was an error message/warning.

You don't say whether they fail to download or download but fail to install.

Why do you want to update the drivers, if the laptop is already running ok. If it's not broken...don't fix it.

Never update a large amount of drivers at once...a couple at a time so you can identify any issues.

As I don't have any info from you, I can't tell whether it's windows blocking the driver updates or your Anti-virus/anti-malware

    (including Windows defender)

  7. If the program worked for a month and you have not changed anything in the program, then I suggest

it is a windows issue. Windows is notorious for it's updates altering the operation of pc's.

There was a recent update to the Defender Platform....which may be responsible. Also, Controlled folder access

is known to block programs accessing directories.

    You could also try this....

    Cancel the encryption protection

Right-click the file or folder, and then click "Properties".

Click the General tab, then click "Advanced".

If the Encrypted contents to secure data check box is selected, you must use the certificate to decrypt the file or folder to be able to open it.

  8. There is no need to disable ASC.....but if you want to you can right click on the icon in the system tray and click exit from the menu.

The reason you are disabling the anti-malware/anti-virus is so that you can clean re-install ASC.

To disable IMF....Right click the icon of IObit Malware Fighter in the system tray and either click... turn off real-time protection....or click exit from the menu.
