1. Hi Cicely, I have installed Suo and I can reboot without any problem now. Charn
2. Hi Cicely, I installed version 221 and removed Suo as you suggested, and the problem no longer appeared. I will try to install Suo and see if the perpetual spinning circle comes back. Charn
3. The upload fails; however, I have enclosed a link to this in my OneDrive. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlpF9KZFs0u9grVpu45AqCya4NqeSQ
4. Hi Cicely, I have attached the perpetual spinning circle and the log file as per request. Of note, Disk Doctor reported corruptions but Windows' own tool said the disk was OK. Charn
5. Hi Cicely, It is hard to do as you requested because everyone is stuck at the Windows logo, with the circle spinning forever. As I said, I had to remove CMOS and notebook battery to boot the machine to the last restore point, and that would abolish what happened to the system afterward, and the InfoHelper would not capture anything. Does it help if I just run InfoHelper BEFORE I reboot (and get stuck at the Windows logo)? Charn
6. I have this problem too. The on/off switch would not work, and I had to remove CMOS and notebook batteries on my Dell notebook to wake up the machine. Luckily there was a restore point before the event, and I could recover the function and remove ASC from the notebook for now.
7. Hi Cicely, What I noticed about ASC9 B1 was the faster SCAN speed, and easier to read results, than ASC8. As I mentioned that I was testing ASC9 B1 with Windows 10 x64 Home Single Language, it would be hard to decide what caused a potential problem. In fact, a major problem happened a couple of days ago. All of a sudden, left-clicking the Start button did not do anything (but right-clicking was OK), and Edge browser icon was removed from the task bar. This forced me to reinstall Windows and went back to ASC8. I guess I will have to use W10 for a while and then test ASC9 later...
8. Hi Cicely, I am back at testing ASC9 B1. This time it is on Dell Inspiron 7348 with Windows 10 Home x64. 1. After ASC9 installation, I could still see both ASC8 and 9 running, so I closed 8. 2. Edge, the default browser, does not show up under Internet Booster, but Internet Explorer does. 3. I have some concerns with Disk Optimization still. I think it is OK that the SSHD of this Inspiron is treated like an HDD, but an attached USB-flash drive also shows up as HDD as well! Can this be a bug? 4. The Feedback button do?es not work. So far, I like what I have seen in ASC9 B1.
