  1. @eno! Yeah I know eno,it is just so frustrating when it fails. :-( -Cowboy
  2. @Cicely! Got 'er dun Sheila!...as I said in the other General Forum thread! Thank you very much from one admiring fan! -Cowboy
  3. Scanning When Scanning, it hangs when it hits 'Check Drive for errors at 1% most of the time. Sometimes if I wait long enough it will finish or the progress bar will hang about 1 cm from finish. :? My main point is that it is very unreliable. -Cowboy
  4. How to Register? Does anyone know where to put the registration number for Pro?? :-? -Cowboy
  5. @dev3 dev, ALL functions of ASC were incorporated with ASC Ultimate7 Beta! Be very happy!! -Cowboy
  6. Upgraded Cicely, I upgraded from the IObit direct link, thank you for that. As regarding Startup Manager,I use WinPatrol, msconfig.exe and Process Hacker so The Startup Manager here I was just 'testing' for IObit... Kind regards, -Cowboy
  7. ^ If the developers would go thru the 'services' list,I think that there are quite a few of them that would be safe to use for Turbo Boost.A little more aggresiveness would not be a bad thing. Alternatively, allow the user more latitude in marking some services that are never used by the user! -Cowboy
  8. Turbo Boost An option to edit or add processes to Turbo Boost. -Cowboy
  9. Autorun Ability to easily schedule Ultimate Scan autorun. Mandatory?? I know the standard recommendation is every post boot-up. -Cowboy
  10. Safe Mode Do NOT have/alllow Deep scanning of the Registry at all in 'Safe Mode'. (I have seen quite a few people complain that their computers were totally 'messed up' by ASC and I think for the most part that this has been the case.) -Cowboy
  11. Registry Deep Scan In expert mode, do NOT have deep scan enabled by default. -Cowboy
  12. Internet Connection Two conditions MUST be met before allowing a net connect: 1) AV database update/check Must be installed (automatically if possible). 2)The AV MUST be turned on. I have been connected to the Net BEFORE the above conditions were met! (I have a Wifi setup) -Cowboy
  13. Hell yeah! We need a "Startup Manager" that really works!!...the one in ASC 7 is buggered! -Cowboy
  14. Heh! Thanks for reminding us! IObits developers are being rode hard and put up wet! -Cowboy
  15. @Scannan Exactly right mate.I haven't a clue as to what IObit is up to/or are thinking. This was the FIRST and the LAST time I will ever pay for a Beta...my curriosity was aroused because the most important issues were marked 'Pro' and they still are even though I paid money I really can't afford as I am a Disabled Pensioner....ah **** it.I'm sick of this whole debacle. :x -Cowboy
  16. Another gripe... The 'Pro' stickers are still there (in the Tool Box) even after purchasing ASC 7 Beta 3...minor point, but they should be removed after purchasing. ;-) -Cowboy
  17. Bug! BIG BUG! The default setting for the Registry Scanner is "Deep Clean".... Does IObit intend to melt a lot of computers? Please,do NOT have this as the default setting! Make sure the 'Deep Clean' option is unticked! ....come on now, please leave the 'deep scan results' to the people who know what they are doing! ;-) -Cowboy

    Dishwashing

Yep! Now all I have to do is throw my laptop into the dishwasher,I need a clean keyboard and a clean C: drive....everything I need is in a Two Terabyte expansion drive anyway. -Cowboy
  19. @Cicely! Hiya Sheila, Since I test a LOT of software (mainly security related),I have most mainstream browsers from IE32bit and IE64bit,Firefox,Pale Moon (third party Firefox optimised builds both 32 and 64 bit, very nice!) Google Chrome latest build, and of course Opera Next 16 64bit build.Chrome is quite lovely too,but it loads 35-40 tabs at the same time (my 'normal' session).Opera does it somewhat too just not as bad. :???: Currently I use Opera Next 16 64bit and both Pale Moon browsers mainly, with Opera preferred ATM. Lovely browser! ...and yes,as in the screenshot I get the same results unfortunately. It does not bother me a great deal because I have plenty of Hijack Protection (incl. Process Hacker 2,WinPatrol and quite a bit more (see my profile which needs updating!)! No other actions have been taken to this point, but I prolly will delve into Program files to see if I can spot anything. Kind regards -Cowboy
  20. Nothing to show. Cicely, The only thing missing are those 'busy' blue round things where I CANNOT select anything except the 'close' button in the upper right: Also,it doesn't matter if I have the Browser (I have several) on or not. I simply cannot 'turn on' the protection or add the other Browsers to it...BTW,you do NOT have Opera as a Browser choice! I use that mainly! -Cowboy
  21. @itobe I don't have the (that) option to tun off either.I can't select or turn it on or anything! -Cowboy
  22. @Cicely Cicely, When I open the 'Browser Protection',it just sits there and does nothing.I can't select turn on or add chrome or firefox. What gives??! -Cowboy
  23. ASC 7 Beta 2 Major bug: Live Updater will NOT work on 64bit computers. Minor Bug: You have to install Beta 2 to a different Directory (File) to install.I just renamed the File to "ASC 7 Beta 2" in the IObit directory. It works! -Cowboy
