Re my post 2-16-2009 Fixed the Paper Port problem by adding items to the ignore list. Have done a number of scans since and things are fine. The tips I received lead me to the answer. The "space" should not be there, it is not part of the file names. If doing anything with these file names delete the "space"

Windows Defender I am a novice at this, but I read where you have to "permit" window defender warnings during installaton of ASC Pro.

ASC Pro 3.1.2 creates problem with Paper Port 11 & Brother FAXRX.exe I have a problem. I have a brother MFC 465 CN, using fax receive to PC, into PaperPort 11. Brother program FAXRX.exe has the option of saving as ".tif, or .max" When I run ASC Pro, changes something, and will only save as a .tif. The .max option becomes unavailable. I think ASC Pro has an issue with Paper Port 11, because when i uninstall, and reinstall PP11, the problem is fixed, until ASC runs again.
