  1. I have been using ASC since it was version 2. I have never had any problem's until version 14, which was not cleaning the recycle bin, and those were resolved. Now I am using 15 rc and Windows 11 (please see OS info below) Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on ‎9/‎22/‎2021 OS build 22000.194 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.194.0 I am having the exact same issue with 15 rc with ASC and the "Junk File Clean". After carefully checking the settings, it has come to my recollection (from v14 issue and chatting back and forth for about 2 weeks trying to get it resolved) that I needed to have the the box for "Keep Files in the Recycle Bin for..." unchecked and after changing this setting, it began working as should be again. (this is for anyone else who is having the same or similar issue) I just want to thank all of you Admins for all your hard work and for ASC for making such an awesome product as with other products. I use most of them, ASC Pro, Malware Fighter, Driver Booster, Smart Defrag, Unlocker, Uninstaller, Software Updater. All of which are the paid for versions. For the small price to pay for the software is a great savings considering the amount of money it costs to replace a compete system. I will continue to test and use the IObit line of products that I see to be a valuable service for me and my equipment.
  2. Heads-up... the actual setting wording is as follows ASC > Settings > Junk File Clean > uncheck the item "Keep files in Recycle Bin for the last... (drop down menu)" > click OK button. I also wanted the "Temp" files to be deleted show I also removed the check form the temp files option... ASC > Settings > Junk File Clean > uncheck the item "Keep Windows Temp Files and Memory Dumps for the last... (drop down menu)" > click OK button. Having both the above settings did in fact remove some if not all the files. It still left some of the temp files but did empty the recycle bin. Thanks for the tip here about these as I have been trying to figure this one out for many months. I have placed a screen shot video of where to find the settings and what to change for future reference for other users. I have been a user of this program and others since ASC was only version 2. Clean Recycle Bin and Temp files.MP4
  3. I have been testing and trying different settings within ASC 14 tog et it to delete or remove the files within the recycle bin and it just wont. I even did a screen record to show exactly how i have it setup and ran the program and found it didn't even detect anything in the recycle bin. After careful consideration, and going through all the settings, I found one major flaw. under the junk files settings, you can choose the recycle bin yes, BUT, down at the bottom it only allows you to tell the program to delete files in the recycle bin older than, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year. This is not going to get the recycle bin cleaned out of junk files. There needs to be a settings or drop down menu choice/option for deleting files in the recycle bin now. So the drop down menu should have the following options, now, 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year. This will allow the user to choose more effectively to remove all junk files and not those older than 1 week. The entire purpose of this program is to clean the PC automatically, not have the user do this manually. If the user has to do this manually, what is the purpose of the program itself. I will expect to see this adjustment in the settings for Junk Files in the near future so as to clean my pc automatically as I have been doing for the past 15 years. I have been using and referring people to ASC since version 2, and we are about to release version 14? That is a very long time. I don't want to have to find something else, but if a program doesn't do what I need/want, I tend to look elsewhere for something that will. I will be happy to upload the video I made, it is however over 100 mb big, but it does show everything and the settings how they should be to get the job done and what settings are missing and where.

  6. I have mine set to "Delete files in Recycle Bin older than 1 week." I also noticed this morning when I ran the fix as I let it scan all night, not that it takes that long ever, I was just so tired and couldn't wait for it to finish, when I clicked on "Fix" this morning, it ran and did not empty the recycle bin as you can see I have it checked in the screen shot. I opened the RB and seen everything there that was there last night that I had manually deleted prior to retiring for the night.
  7. Where did the start up optimization go? Is it hidden within another option or has it been removed all together? This is the only thing I miss from version 13 to this beta version 14. Other than that, I love the way it looks, feels, runs, and works, it is much faster than the preceding versions. One thing that still has not been resolved from earlier versions, it still does not delete the temp files from windows ten temp folder. It is a very hidden folder holding files and I wonder if it is because of this that ASC 14 and prior versions just could not see the folder and therefore did not empty it. Any chance of a fix for this, I have a short cut on my desktop for the folder and I manually empty this folder and then have ASC empty the recycle bin for me which it does. The internet files folders, yes there are two of them, also doesn't get touched with the junk file or the privacy traces option to delete them either. Again, something I empty manually as well and let ASC remove them form the recycle bin when it is run. These two things I have sent in and mentioned about numerous times in the past with past versions and to no avail of being resolved. I mean, it doesn't bother me to manually empty them, but would be nice to have ASC empty them and then fully delete them when run. Just food for thought.
