  1. Thank you Scannan, that is the general consensus I have been getting from experienced tech folk regarding driver updaters - 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' - use driver updaters at your own risk. lee
  2. Scannan, that was what I was trying to do in my previous post. What has been yours and others experience with 'Driver Updaters' such as Driver Booster in updating 'hard core' drivers such as ATA controllers and chip sets? Can IOBIT incorporate something like being used in the scans for ASC registry risk levels (low, medium, high) in Driver Booster as to the risk level of a particular driver that is updated - e.g ATA controller - high risk? Lee
  3. Is there a future consideration to put a brief description for each driver on what it does for the computer and possibly put a risk level of what may happen if the update doesn't work? I have found that System Restore does not always work on these types of things. I just used Driver Booster 1.0 to update a couple of audio drivers it picked up and it did it perfectly! But I consider these types of drivers less intrusive on them possibly causing damage to the computer if the driver doesn't work. I don't know about anyone else, but when a driver scanner picks up drivers like chip sets and ATA controllers to update, I get really apprehensive, as if something goes wrong, my experience (not with my current PC) is you are sol and it's windows reinstall time. I guess the only other option is you can choose not to update the particular driver and click ignore. Any thoughts guys? Lee
  4. I agree. Something like 'Malware has been detected - Please run Scan' Or something less ominous. I assume since the automatic scan is selected in the screen shot it was picked up at that time and a scan is needed. On the other hand if it is that a scan has not been run in a few days, it is more of a warning than actuality, it should read 'Your PC may be in danger' Please run scan now' may be better. Lee
  5. Win32.Aliser still showing in def 1128 Hey Guys, IOBit 360 Still shows the Win32.Aliser trojan in def 1128. What is the Win32.Stanit file? False positive also. If I remove I no longer can bring up Taskmanager. IObit flags every time I try to start it. 6. Malwarebytes a threat??? Just to let you know, with IS360 running I opened up my Malwarebytes program and performed the upgrade it showed as having. During the upgrade, IS360 flagged it as a threat. Well, I new that was not correct. Fortunately, IS360 had an allow box and a 'remember this action' box I used. It's nice that IS360 is looking out for my computer, but it did produce a false positive...
  7. Is there a log available after autocare scan? Is there a log available after the ASC autocare scan(not the manual one you invoke) so one can see what problems and junk files were cleaned and fixed? Sometimes I'm away from my computer when this goes off and the only thing I see is a completion window telling me what was done. It would be nice to see a log of what was fixed.
