Skip UAC Warning I noticed that the last few times I have opened ASC 7 Beta 3.0, even though I have the option set to "Skip User Account Control warning," I still get the UAC warning and have to choose to allow changes to this computer. It only asks the first time I open it from the taskbar after starting Windows (I have it set to start automatically with Windows). The subsequent times, it does not ask. If I right-click the icon on the taskbar and click "Exit," and then reopen the program, however, I do see the warning again. I just thought I should let you know that this problem has not been entirely fixed, despite what I said in my feedback upon initial use of ASC 7 Beta 3.0. I guess I spoke too hastily. Everything else seems it is coming along very nicely. Advanced SystemCare has improved by far in the time I have been using it, which started at version 3. Keep up the good work, IObit!

Program Deactivator So I was wrong. Program Deactivator does allow you to enable currently disabled programs.

I still feel really stupid because I cannot figure out how to enter About the ignore list for Malware Removal, I think you can only tell it to ignore things it has already flagged as malware. I cannot state this as fact because I have never had malware detected by ASC, and fortunately almost never get malware at all. But judging by how you can add other "problems" to the ignore list by selecting "Ignore" by them in the scan results before you click the "Repair," I infer that this is how you add stuff to the Malware Removal Ignore List. If ASC flags something as malware, try this and see if it adds it to the list. This is a good product so far. I have been using it since version 3.

ASC 7 Beta 3 Feedback In ASC 7 Beta 3, the System Optimize set as "Top Performance (Home User)" works the way it does in ASC 6: Disable 8.3 names for NTFS and speed up disk access [NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation] Disable last access for NTFS and speed up disk access [NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate] Both of these once again have a recommended value of 1. The Program Deactivator works correctly now! Currently disabled startup items do not appear in the list so you can't enable them from here, but then I guess it is called 'Deactivator' and not 'Activator.' Homepage Protection works correctly now! It is convenient that the Homepage Protection settings are accessible from the regular settings as well as the Toolbox. "Skip User Account Control warning" works correctly now! When starting the program or opening it from the taskbar while it is running in the background, the UAC warning does not appear while this option is selected, and it does when this option is unselected. Perfect! I appreciate how in IObit Uninstaller, under "Browser Plug-ins," the check boxes are always present. I also like how if you check "Batch Uninstall" in the regular "Programs" list, it will stay that way the next time you open IObit Uninstaller. Nothing shows up in the "Windows Updates" list for some reason, however. I know I have a large number of Windows updates installed, but nothing appears in the list. I like the fact that now we can opt to use a letter to represent the health of the PC, instead of a smiley face. The new Metro Skin is also cool. Advanced SystemCare 7 is going to be great!

About Program Deactivator, I mean startup items were already not set to load with Windows, but they appeared in the list as being "Always Enabled." ASC 7 Beta 3 has that problem resolved. Sorry for the delay in my response.

"Skip User Account Control Warning" Partially Works Greetings again. I just observed that even with the "Skip User Account Control Warning" box checked in Settings, whether ASC 7 Beta 2 is on the taskbar from being set to load at startup or is not running at all, I am still prompted to allow the program to make changes to this computer the first time I launch it after Windows startup in Windows 8. The warning does not appear the subsequent times, even if the program is completely closed (not merely minimized to the notification area). I just noticed this today.

ASC 7 Beta 2.0 Feedback After Initial Use Greetings, IObit Team. I noted some facts about Advanced SystemCare 7 Beta 2.0. Program Deactivator: Some programs appeared as "always enabled" when they were actually neither running nor set to run at startup. Homepage Protection: It works with the workaround posted on the forum (http://forums.iobit.com/showthread.php?t=15861), but it would be more convenient if it had a field to enter the homepage address for each selected browser, instead of just for Internet Explorer. IObit Uninstaller: I highly appreciate the fact that it is now possible to choose whether to set a system restore point first, before the process actually begins. Also, the new user interface is simple and easy to use. I think, however, that instead of having "Batch Uninstall" as an option, the checkboxes should always be visible, since clicking the trash can icon functions the same way whether the "Batch Uninstall" box is checked or not. The user would uninstall one program by simply clicking the trash can icon beside that one program without messing with the check boxes, and would remove multiple programs by checking the boxes and then clicking the trash can. Just an idea to simplify the interface. System Optimization: I observed that the following settings had different recommendations in ASC 7 Beta 2 than in ASC 6.4, both versions using the "Top Performance (Home User)" setting: Disable 8.3 names for NTFS and speed up disk access [NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation] Disable last access for NTFS and speed up disk access [NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate] In ASC 6.4, both of these have a recommended value of 1, while in ASC 7 Beta 2 they are recommended as 0. I mean this as neither a pro nor a con, but only as a difference I noticed. A few possible preference considerations could include an option to view ASC 7 in a smaller window the size of the window in which ASC 6.4 runs, and an option to disable transitional effects when changing views (e.g., the transition from the "care" menu to the "scanning" screen). These changes would make ASC 7 more friendly to older netbooks, while retaining the modern layout. I am using a netbook with a 1024x600 display, so I have to change a few settings to use programs that require higher resolutions. So far, ASC 7 seems it is going to be a great improvement.
