  8. Cloudy and Max Hi people, Cloudy, in regard to registry entries, the Prime Programmes ie sys32 are listed, i have always used this facility to choose which programmes i amend/delete. Max, and ALL Now this is far more complicated Because of the way that W8/W8.1/Cloud/Sync works. You have >> two << options for your initial sign-in, MS account or local both send you in different directions, the same applies to Google If you store your core data within thier admin/cloud/Sync options, as soon as you log-in, depending on log-in option if its main then all of your saved data will be re-applied to your system, therefor you will in effect not be able to remove it from your comp, because its>>>> not actually on it<<<< Roy

  19. event viewer critical/warning MS Event viewer is rather clumsy, you have to select the various sub-sections then view the error type. A tool to list critical errors and the general description that goes with them, would definately help in problem solving. Roy

  24. IE temp files Hi Cicely, sorry for the delay. regarding the "protected" temp files, Additional is probably a better definition. They are in C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files and C:\Windows\SysWOW32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files.
