Aye! I would advise to not reinstall that tool. Others will look and better advise on that tool, so wait for further posts on this. Thank you for sharing the information about the bitremover tool... that is most helpful! Meanwhile if you can post a scan file of your system that may be most usefull as well... as a small number of users have had this problem. It was the clean install that fixed.

Hi Ian! If you truly want to insure complete obliteration of traces on your hard drive... try the freeware program Eraser. It will obliterate any left overs in the empty spaces of your hard drive.

Why can't you just re-run the pinnacle install file? Don't know how you could accidentally delete a file with no recourse. You must be able to restore it. You should have a back up Image or something??? -Mel

Is 360 does not Hijack machines! If there is a problem with IS360 install than it was either a bad install or not run properly! Info on proper usage of IS360 contained in the link "Usage of Iobit Products" is located in my signature. We will be happy to assist in resolving the problem but need more information than you have provided! Perhaps you could have him use your machine and post exactly how the install was conducted and a complete description of the problem. I have never heard of an instance of 360 completely disabling a machine. Has he tried task manager "ctrl/alt/del" pressed simultaneously to close the application so he can uninstall it??:idea:

Same problem? Is this the same problem you originally had and has been ongoing the whole time? For weeks!! If ASC is breaking links for your outlook, then you must manually add them to the ignore list during a scan... by clicking on the red text at the right of each category, viewing the problems to be fixed, and choosing to ignore the Links. You have to be right there and watching and clicking to do this... ASC will work very quickly! Hope this helps!!

Just want to add this. It appears by the logfile some of the processes are ok... safe. Some are not... unsafe, so it is risky. By unsafe I mean unknown. The processes haven't been evaluated by users to rate them. I suspect driverchecker changes them just enough (quite frequently)(did you say twice a day or so?) so they remain unknown and can't be evaluated as they change. The processes that actually do work, they don't change, so they are known and rated safe. Its possible this could be a platform to hide other intentions. I agree with enoskype. You must make your decision after investigating thouroughly. Personally I wouldn't allow this software on my system... there are alternatives out there. Good luck to you!

Good Question jjj. I recently (2 days ago) helped a friend install 7 over vista basic. All went well but I was unsure about 360.. and he wanted it despite controversy! I was already aware of the disconnected links with CNET, maj geeks.. etc. Left him with good words of wisdom, and no 360, he's waiting for me to deliver! Many companies thought they were ready and they still aren't. As of yesterday AVG was still struggling. (but they're slow and heavy anyway). Good question? Thats what we need to be talking about on the forum!

Clean screen. If flat LCD. Diluted Isopropyl alcohol and pure H2o. 3 to 1. Use clean dampened(with mixture) soft cotton cloth only. Very gentle pressure. Change cloth and repeat if necessary. Moist cotton cloth (pure H2o) for final wipe.
