[Steam Disk Write Error]

I tried searching for related topics, did not really see any recent ones, so I figure I will start a new thread here.

 

This issue caused me quite a bit of a headache over the past few months because I could not find the cause.

If Malware Fighter is running steam games (Spam Link Removed) will often encounter a Disk Write Error. The problem is that Malware Fighter does not ever let the user know that it took any action at all.Now I know you are going to reply with a ton of "did you check this" or "are you sure its not this"... I did quite a few things including a complete OS reinstall(multiple times). To be honest I feel somewhat stupid because I never thought about Malware Fighter being the cause.

 

Every time I have a game encounter a disk write error I have to go, close out Malware Fighter completely, run the update or game install then once that is done restart Malware Fighter. This fix works every single time. Sadly, this is far from Ideal as I would like to maintain my MF protection even (or especially) when downloading items from steam.

[How to suppress opening browser screen on opening software]

I use free versions of Iobit and driver booster and other company security software. But every time I open one of these products they open a browser screen asking me to upgrade to the premium/paid version. While I understand gimp freejobalert notepad++ why the company wants to convert free users into paid users. This is a very obtrusive, annoying procedure. Is there any way of changing settings so this stops?

[All of my IOBit software products have gone bad]

Strange header but this is what has happened.

ASC 11 Pro - has all the text missing, so not able to read it. Have removed it and have tried re-installing won't reinstall

IOBit Malware same thing all usps tracking text missing - removed it now won't let me install

IOBit uninstaller same thing all text missing.

 

Please someone help, this only happened last night.

[Advanced SystemCare command-line parameters]

The thread, http://forums.iobit.com/forum/advanced-systemcare/advanced-systemcare-v11/223844-turbo-boost-with-command-line, says that Advanced SystemCare (ASC) v11 supports only two command-line parameters ("/scanrepair" and "/turboboost_tray_on"). Does version 12 of ASC support more command-line parameters? When using "/scanrepair", ASC only performs first six types of scans. Is there a way usps tracking to specify to ASC v12 what types of scans to be performed when running ASC v12 using command-line? Please let me know all command-line parameters and options (ex: indicating ASC which scan types to perform) that can be used with ASC v12 (please also describe those command-line parameters and options as best as possible).

[Error in Upgrading Smart Defrag]

I get the message about upgrading gimp freejobalert notepad++ to the latest version of Smart Defrag (Free).. Downloaded from the website defragsetup. When it is run get the error Runtime error at (290:: 769); WinHttp.WinHttpRequest: The Operation timed out. What could cause this? What URL is the application trying to reach?
