  1. Greetings...

    When I attempt to install Smart Defrag v8.0 on my laptops, my AVAST antivirus software stops the installation process with the following Threat Block alert message:

    "We've blocked smart-defrag-setup.tmp because it was infected with IDP.Generic."

    Attached below is a screen capture of the Threat Blocked alert message. Please advise if this threat is real or a false alarm. Thank you!

  2. Greetings, Scannan...

    Thank you for the link to the "disk health" information! I was unaware of this feature and find it most interesting.

    Coincidentally, the alert message box that I am interested in manually generating happened to appear on one of my computers after I had created my above posting. Fortunately, I was able to create a screen capture of the alert message box which I have attached below. I do not know what currently triggers its periodic appearance at the bottom right of my display screen but I would like to have the ability to trigger its appearance at will or at a predetermined schedule. Please advise if this is possible or who I should contact to find out. Thank you!

  3. Greetings...

    Periodically, an alert message box appears at the bottom right of my display screen that contains a summary of the fragmentation status of each hard drive currently connected to my computer. I find this alert message to be very informative and would like to be able to manually trigger it to appear periodically. Please advise if there is some way that I can accomplish this activity. Thank you!

  4. Greetings, Scannan...

    Thank you for your response to my inquiry!

    Unfortunately, I have tried your recommended solution but the small video camera icon continues to appear associated with the Performance Monitor as illustrated in one of the screen captures that I included with my above inquiry.

    My next thought is to uninstall the IObit iFun Screen Recorder 1.2x software, then reinstall it at a later time, unless you have an alternate suggestion for me to try.

  5. Greetings...

    I have the IObit Advanced System Care Free v14x software installed on each of my laptops and especially appreciate the Performance Monitor that appears on my Desktop screen.

    I also have the IObit iFun Screen Recorder 1.2x software installed on each of my laptops and I have noticed that on one my laptops, a small "video camera" icon for the Screen Recorder appears associated with the Performance Monitor that appears on the Desktop screen. How can I remove this "video camera" icon from the Performance Monitor?

  6. Greetings...

    I would like to configure a scheduled task to start my iFun Screen Recorder automatically once I have logged onto my computer. I have observed a very quick flash of some sort of message or dialog box at the center of my desktop screen within a minute after I have logged on. I would like to capture this message via a recording so that I can play it back slowly so that I can see what is going on.

    Please advise if I can accomplish this task with my iFun Screen Recorder as I have described above and if so, what would be the commands that I would use in the scheduled task to do so. Thank you!

  7. Greetings...

    I have been using Driver Booster software for a number of months along with Avast antivirus software on multiple home computers. Within the past few days, my Avast antivirus software has reported the following on each of my home computers:

    ===============

    Threat blocked - We've blocked ScanDisp.exe because it was infected with FileRepMalware [PUP]

    C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\DriverBooster\6.6.0\ScanDisp.exe

    ===============

    I recently updated my Driver Booster software to version 6.6.0.489 - it is possible that the above "threat blocked" issue started shortly after the installaton of this new software version.

    What I would like to know is:

    #1 - Is this Driver Booster file - ScanDisp.exe - infected with FileRepMalware or is this a false report by my Avast antivirus software?

    #2 - Has anyone else encountered this same issue?

    Please advise. Thanks!

  8. Greetings...

    I have been using Advanced System Care software for a number of years along with Avast antivirus software on multiple home computers. Within the past two weeks, my Avast antivirus software has reported the following:on each of my home computers:

    ===============

    Threat blocked - We've blocked BrowserCleaner.exe because it was infected with FileRepMalware

    C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\AdvancedSystemCare\BrowserCleaner.exe

    ==========

    Threat blocked - We've blocked ASCFeature.exe because it was infected with FileRepMalware

    C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\AdvancedSystemCare\ASCFeature.exe

    ===============

    I recently updated my Advanced System Care software to version 12.4.0.351 - it is possible that the above "threat blocked" issue started shortly after the installaton of this new software version.

    What I would like to know is:

    #1 - Are these two ASC files - BrowserCleaner.exe and ASCFeature - infected with FileRepMalware or is this a false report by my Avast antivirus software?

    #2 - Has anyone else encountered this same issue?

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Attached is a screen capture of the "threat blocked" alert for BrowserCleaner.exe. The "threat blocked" alert for ASCFeature.exe appeared the same, except for file name.
