What if you realize that you don’t want to keep your changes to the CONTRIBUTING.md file? How can you easily unmodified it — revert it back to what it looked like when you last committed (or initially cloned, or however you got it into your working directory)? Luckily, git status tells you how to do that, too. In the last example output, the unstaged area looks like this:
Changes are not staged for commit:
(use "git add <file>..." to update what will be committed)
(use "git checkout -- <file>..." to discard changes in working directory)
modified: CONTRIBUTING.md
It tells you pretty explicitly how to discard the changes you’ve made. Let’s do what it says:
$ git checkout -- CONTRIBUTING.md
$ git status
On branch master
Changes to be committed:
(use "git reset HEAD <file>..." to unstage)
renamed: README.MD -> README
You can see that the changes have been reverted.
Important
It’s important to understand that git checkout — <file> is a dangerous command. Any local changes you made to that file are gone — Git just replaced that file with the most recently-committed version. Don’t ever use this command unless you absolutely know that you don’t want those unsaved local changes.
If you would like to keep the changes you’ve made to that file but still need to get it out of the way for now, we’ll go over stashing and branching in ch03-git-branching.asc; these are generally better ways to go.
Remember, anything that is committed in Git can almost always be recovered. Even commits that were on branches that were deleted or commit that were overwritten with an --amend commit can be recovered (see ch10-git-internals.asc for data recovery). However, anything you lose that was never committed is likely never to be seen again.

the thing to keep in mind is these software companies want to sell you a product. they want to make you think and feel your pc will perform better with it, worse without. sometimes, the products are actually useful, more often than not, they aren't.
the #1 trick to marketing anything is to play to someone's emotions. the #2 is to play to their experiences (or what they WANT to experience). so they will say, "Man have you ever been so mad when your PC crashes and your important spreadsheet is gone buy MAXIMUM PC NOW.exe and your wife will love you again"
and then they will promise (promises are #3*), that with their product, your PC will be as good as new. and their product does 3 useful things that're effectively automation of basic-intermediate computer maintenance and 6 other things that have mixed to zero effect. and most of those things are also easily duplicated with in-built tools or basic knowledge...
there are a few more #s and they're actually very subtle in practice. ...but anyways. wow talk about a digression, guys!
so, uh. cleaning your registry is 99% unnecessary unless you spend your computer's short 2-5~ year life constantly clicking every banner ad in sight and installing every program you possibly can. cleaning it can end in disaster. clearing cookies is sometimes useful. getting rid of unwanted programs is something you can do by determining what you actually want installed/running.
if you have a cheap/slow PC/Laptop with no hardware problems, the best thing you can do is reinstall the OS minus all the crapware your manufacturer put on. and then just use basic AV/anti-malware tools, have a home router, keep your firewall on, use ad and script blockers in your browser. and practice good internet hygiene. and maybe, just MAYBE, if you're lazy, use one of many popular tools to delete the odd tracking cookie and similar so you get fewer bird sex testing job ads on facebook. no joke. friend of mine kept getting them for months.
if bad things do get in, then it's time for a real deep clean. after reading the manual. a lot. of something preferably cost-effective.

Safe Mode is a special mode that can help users troubleshoot system issues especially when the problems already occurred on the computer. It allows Windows to boot only with essential system programs and services.

I know I am replying to an old post but this might help some new users as well.
On Windows 10, you can also use the "Network reset" feature to fix Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity problems after installing an update or at any time that you can't connect to the network.
To reset the network adapters on your device, use these steps:
Open Settings.
Click on Network & Internet.
Click on Status.
Under the "Change your network settings" section, click the Network reset option.

Click the Yes button.
After you complete the steps, the device will restart automatically, and on reboot, you should now be able to connect to the internet.
The tool will reset all the network adapters installed on your computer to their factory defaults, which means that you'll need to re-enter the password to connect to a wireless network, and you may need to reconfigure other networking software depending on your requirements.
How to update the network adapter driver using Device Manager
An older version of the network adapter driver can cause compatibility issues with a new recently available update of multi session Windows 10.
To update the network adapter to the latest driver, use these steps:
Open Start.
Search for Device Manager and click the top result to open the app.
Expand the Network adapters branch.
Right-click the adapter with the problem and select the Update driver option.

IObit is definitely not a trustworthy company. But, they do make some good software, aside from Malware Fighter. IObit Uninstaller is very good. It does a good job of finding leftovers, has a batch uninstall mode, where it can uninstall and scan for leftovers from multiple programs in one go.

I was also facing the same kind of error with QuickBooks enterprise. I followed these steps and it worked for me. I hope this helps you!

I also got this false positive while using Power BI Pro. It automatically crashed the whole app. I think this is an error with Microsoft apps only. So I contacted the Microsoft support team and my issue was resolved.

I would suggest you download IObit drivers from its official website, to avoid virus infections. For now, you can format your system if it is getting you a lot of trouble or you can run an anti-virus scan. It will definitely solve your issue.

If you still want to use Windows 7 in your system you can do it by using Windows virtual desktop. WVD officially supports Windows 7, therefore you can still receive the updates for drivers.

- Once your media loads, choose from the following:
- AUTO TRANSFER - Click the Auto Transfer Button > Auto-Recover All Items to iTunes > Start Auto Transfer.
- SELECTED TRACKS - Select any in the main window (hold Control (PC) or Command (Mac) to select more than one) and use the Transfer from Device menu.
- SELECTED PLAYLISTS - Select a playlist in the left panel underneath Media Library and use the Transfer from Device menu.
- DRAG & DROP - Select any tracks in the main window (hold Control (PC) or Command (Mac) to select more than one) and then simply drag & drop them to your computer.
- AUTO TRANSFER - Click the Auto Transfer Button > Auto-Recover All Items to iTunes > Start Auto Transfer.
Using software or any tool won't be that helpful. So I would recommend you to follow this manual process.

There's nothing wrong with continuing to use Advanced System Care or any other software classified as PUP as long as you find it useful/want it on your PC. The entire category of PUP is designed to be subjective so that users are presented the option of removing software which many in the community, as well as the criteria set forth by the Malwarebytes Research team, have classified as potentially undesirable so that the users who do not find it useful may easily have it blocked/removed from their system by Malwarebytes.
Specifically in the case of Enigma I suggest you take a look at the article published on Malwarebytes blog here. Enigma did file, and lost, the case against Malwarebytes as the court agreed that Malwarebytes was not in the wrong in classifying their software as PUP based on public opinion of users/consumers including the easily discover-able high volume of complaints about their software from users on the web via a search of the web.
Specifically in the case of ASC I believe it has more to do with their aggressive registry cleaner and some of the somewhat misleading advertising tactics they often employ in order to get installed on users' systems, including ads embedded in software download pages that make it appear as though the ad (which is a link to download/install ASC) appears to be the actual download button/link for a completely unrelated piece of software hosted on the page which is the software the user actually intended to download/install (for example, trying to download a CD burning tool from Download.com and clicking what you think is the download link/button for the software's installer but you end up with ASC because the ad tricked you due to its appearance and placement on the page). Regarding the registry cleaner, I've personally seen test results where a completely fresh installation of Windows was scanned and yet ASC still reported tons of so-called 'issues' and 'errors' to be fixed/corrected/removed even though theoretically there should be no such issues/errors on a fresh install prior to loading anything else onto the system. Besides that, there is the fact that removing obsolete registry entries doesn't actually do anything to measurably improve system performance and can often do more harm than good, especially if an entry thought to be orphaned is removed and it turns out it actually belonged to a piece of software or component which is actually still in-use/still installed. In extreme cases, if a critical registry key/value is modified or removed it can render the system unbootable. Not only that, but the days of leftover registry values leading to constant error pop-ups and mysterious prompts on system startup are pretty much done and have been since Windows Vista (and really even the later days of XP prior to that) since most software vendors who received complaints about issues from customers updated their software' uninstallers to more carefully delete the appropriate registry values/data and unregister DLLs and other files correctly (not to mention the much-improved iterations of System Restore now shipped with every Windows version which allows for a more comprehensive rollback of the registry to a state prior to the software being installed).
By the way, you don't necessarily need to disable the detection of all PUPs in Malwarebytes to continue using ASC without having Malwarebytes flag it if you don't want to. You might instead just run a scan with Malwarebytes with ASC installed, click the checkbox at the top left of the column headers so that all detections are unchecked/cleared in the scan results screen where it lists all of the ASC PUP detections then click the Remove button and choose the Ignore and add to exclusions option when prompted on how to handle the items not marked for removal. That will add all of them to your exclusions so that Malwarebytes shouldn't detect them anymore.
I also had the same issue, to overcome it I use Azure WVD and installed Advanced SystemCare 13 PRO in it and it worked completely fine. If the issue still continues then contact the IObit support team then can help you with an exact solution.
