I used the default settings of Deep Optimise, which I think were: Optimise the visual effect of window menus... and Accelerate the display of taskbar thumbnail preview. The fixes I have tried are things like: Always show icons, never thumbnails is unchecked in File Explorer Options, Show thumbnails instead of icons is checked in System Properties/Visual Effects I don't have a restore point

All was well until I ran Deep Optimisation. After that all photo thumbnails are gone (silly icon instead) and also some icons that were on the taskbar are gone. I have wasted ages searching for and applying "fixes" but none have fixed this issue. Please help, I am getting very frustrated and wish I had never bought ASC
