  1. I have no idea if this is under the wrong section so I apologize, I have not posted here before. My computer has been running slower than it should have been and I have heard a lot of good things about this application. I am very untrusting of almost any app nowadays but my research has shown that this was indeed safe. Apparently I had not researched enough. I had made sure that there was no additional installation tick boxes in the setup, as that stuff has screwed me in the past. First 5 seconds seemed to be fine. Exploring the app to see what was available with it. Next second, Driver Booster 9 (which I do not remember installing) opens, three things from iTop install, and around 4 popups about something I did not wait around to read showed up and I get 6 notifications from Windows Defender. I had no third party antivirus at the time. I even saw something about Misleading:Windows32/Lodi in there. I did not wait around to see if that was all. Everything gone and now I have Malwarebytes. I am especially upset about this as I had made sure that NOTHING else installed on the setup. If anything else installs that, to me, is considered virus behavior and the program will no longer be on my computer. That was the last straw, I cannot describe how mad I am with this as it possibly could have wrecked my computer if I had waited to see what would happen. I had read about the iTop installing without consent on this forum and got no straight answer. Is this safe? I would not like to find out the hard (and risky) way. Thank you in advance.
