Reasonably sure that we can now consider this app to be MALWARE. Have already reported it to my Anti-Virus supplier and they have confirmed that it now meets the criteria.

Advanced System Care Pro 15. Over the years, I've purchased predecessors to this product several times, as the advertised core functionality appeared to be of the highest standards and the favourable technical reviews all indicated it was a market leading product. Unfortunately, various issues occurred that caused me to discontinue using the app. Despite this and after a few years using other products, the quality of the core functions has seen me make yet another purchase. Having now used this app for several months, I have absolutely no hesitation in publicly stating that it is by far, the worst choice in software purchase I have ever made. The (paid) app is now so full of unsolicited junk, that it now appears to have crossed the threshold into malware. The rubbish falls into three rough categories: 1. Unsolicited popup advertisements that do not appear to be linked to your application. These popups scream SCAM, as they are of such a poor and amateurish quality that they appear to be the work of a school child. They advertise products and/or services that do not appear to have an obvious link with IObit, nor do they appear to contain any form of attribution to a vendor. 2. Apps that are installed, despite the users deliberate choice to "opt out". This is so blatant that it appears your company wants to run foul of regulators and governments. During downloads and updates, optional installs are NEVER selected and every option to 'not install' is selected, so this is either deliberate contravention of user choice, or deliberate obfuscation of the legally required 'opt out' facility. 3. Incessant advertising popups or overlays, entreating us to purchase more optional packages. The frequency and placement of these adverts, together with the inability to turn them off or alter their frequency, together with their disruption to work flow, would appear to transition your product over the line into being malicious code. So, having made several unsuccessful attempts to resolve my concerns privately, I would like to PUBLICLY and FORMALLY ask the DIRECTORS of the company to reply to the following questions, by way of a public response on this forum. (Moderator, I understand that your position MAY require you to divert such requests, but I'd still like to keep this on the polite side of the legal line at this stage) Dear Directors, 1. Are you prepared to publicly and formally endorse your product on this (and any other) forum, knowing that the underlying coding appears to allow your application to deliberately and specifically reduce the functionality of any consumer device it is installed on? 2. Have you formally advised your shareholders regarding the growing concerns regarding the legitimacy of your product? 3. Have you advised your insurers that your companies actions have exposed them to a considerably higher risk? I thank you for your time and look forward to your considered response. I have ASC15 Pro and am being driven crazy by all the pop up's. I have gone through all the settings I can find in an attempt to stop this behaviour. If it was Freeware, I'd expect this kind of crap, but not from a company that wants us to believe they have reputable products. Can anyone help me with this one?
