gaming on laptop

ok, SO, here is the deal, I KNOW my system is NOT a gaming rig, but I'm really hoping I can get a few games that are NEWER to play, like half life source.

I understand that this system will not going to play, Seeing as I got half life 2 to play on here WITH minimal lag, I'm SURE I can get thsi game to play great, but, its not, half life 2, the specs are WAY over my limits, its stupid for me to do that, but I had fun XD, but I'm thinking I can load part of the graphics card, do SOMETHING to just lower the amount the game needs to run, get a more steady fps, not it runs, but I"m also getting a run time error, saying something is trying to close in an unexpected way, I can't find information about that, I dont' think its hard ware, I think its software, or settings rather, thanks and specs are in my signature, thanks guys

PS, I KNOW this system can handle old games, I'm playing half life 1 perfectly on here, and source, I got to play on highest settings with 6x anti aliasing, so I'm SURE I can get it to play on the lower settings, but I still get lag, now, mind you, It lags LESS on the highest settings -.- makes PERFECT sense don't it?, thanks guys, and hope to hear from yall soon XD

You are going to have to open the case and upgrage the RAM. It's not difficult. It is easy... pull out the old and plug in the new. You got 30 bucks??? Then its done!!;-)

I can do that, but is upgrading the ram going to help it, or is it my cpu thats limiting me? 410 @ 1.46 GHZ
