AV for 512MB RAM system

oh wow, I didn't know this, but I just found out that my version of avg was ILLEGAL, my friend had sent me the file and I did what he said, I thought he maybe had bought it for me or something, guess now, what anti-virus should I use?

Since you only have 512MB of RAM every AV is going to be a struggle to run but considering that you will want an AV that is totally free and easy to use I strongly suggest you use Microsoft Security Essentials

 

Uninstall AVG, restart your computer, then install Microsoft Security Essentials.

If Microsoft Security Essentials says that AVG is still installed you will need to run the AVG Remover tool

You will need to download and run

AVG Remover(32bit) 2012

(avg_remover_stf_x86_2012_2125.exe)

(It is very Good AV program)

 

I run both MSE and AVG. ;-)
